Which "BAY AREA" are you referring to? The San Francisco Bay, the Bay of Pigs, Hudson Bay, Chesapeake Bay, or Bay of Bengal?

Ahem.....giebel DID say "northern california". Most of us know that San Francisco is in Northern California!!

Bay Area, is a colloquial term used in the San Francisco Bay Area of California for the San Francisco Bay Area, but when used outside the San Francisco Bay Area, nationally & even internationally, it sounds extremely irritating. San Francisco area of California does not have the only Bay Area and for someone to generically refer to something in California as the Bay Area, outside of the San Francisco Bay Area just sounds lazy and ignorant. This is the same as referring to the coastal area, the mountains, the foothills, the highlands, the Mississippi river area and so on, without specifying. Yes in the "post" it says Northern California, but in the message board title just generically says "Bay Area" as if it was the only one in the world. Just a bad show altogether. Wouldn't you agree the distasteful misuse of the generic term, colloquial phrase "Bay Area" by arrogant Californians, nationally & even internationally, is a little much to accept and ignore?

Wowie! Who licked the red off your candy Wiener? "Arogant Californians"?? The whole WORLD knows San Francisco for what it is. I guess just about anything is worth dissention to you.

aka metropolitan,urban,suburban,rural areas along the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. Did that help clarify things for you wiener? LOL!!! People really will argue about anything on this site, what a shame and a waste of energy...
