The TomKat breakup is starting to sound real bizarre. She must be so relieved to finally get away from all that! It seems she's not keen on their daughter being dictated to by Scientologists, either!

I feel for Katie, can you just imagine?  A girl with a major crush on a celebrity actually ends up marrying him (how many girls across the world, from each generation, actually gets to be with her dream crush?!)  Only to find her prince charming isn't so charming.  A real life fairy tale that doesn't have a happy ending   I know it was Katie's story that had given hope to so many others.

That being said, I thought Tom was kind of weird before I ever heard about scientology, and I think scientology is down right creepy.

The real question in the TomKat story is how badly will Suri be affected?

What is Hatting???

by hexe on 09 July 2012 - 06:07

FLRanger, follow the link and it explains it.

Meh, EuroShepherd, I don't feel too badly for Katie Holmes--she knew what she was getting into when she got into it.  I mean, c'mon...she had to have heard the stories around Hollywood regarding Cruise, and who the heck goes into a marriage with a  'contract' that pays you X amount of dollars for every year you stay married to that person, and bonus money for each child you bear, without suspecting that something is fishy in the market?

Her parents knew what time it was, and tried to prevent the marriage, but when it was clear that their daughter was going to go through with it despite their misgivings, her father constructed that marriage contract to give her an exit strategy if she ever needed it.  Wonder how hard Daddy and Mommy Holmes are having to bite their tongues to keep from saying, "We told you so!"?

Who I DO feel badly for is Suri.  Given that the children that Cruise adopted with Nicole Kidman were systematically turned against her and were convinced that Kidman is mentally unstable [because she wouldn't sign on for the Sciento nonsense], it's easy to see why Holmes wants sole custody--but it's also obvious from photos of them together that Cruise's daughter adores her daddy, so the little girl stands to lose no matter what happens in this.  About the only thing that might save her would be if DNA testing showed she was actually Chris Klein's daughter, and not Cruise's [as has been widely suspected from the moment the pregnancy was announced]...but even then, she'd still lose the only man she's ever known as her father, so that's still going to be traumatic.

Lucky for the kid that Mommy has plenty of money to pay for therapists.

[Edited to add: It's sad that I have so much of that trivial crap stored in my brain...this is what web-surfing does to you while you're waiting for files to download via dial-up connection.]

 Hexe:  YOU have dial UP?

ME too....I have no patience and mine is extremely slow..26kbps

One of the journalists today interviewed a media person from several years ago that had uncovered the fact that Scientology was in charge of FINDING A PROPER wife for Cruise, and they use the big name prospects to give their Control freak Organization BIG HEADLINERS and draw all that money in under the auspice of DOING GOOD FOR THE BETTERMENT OF ALL MEN >>>>

LOL  I almost threw up!!  I guess LOVE IS BLIND

LOL@hexe. Who knew you were such a fantastic font of Tom Cruise trivia!  Too bad about the dial-ups. I feel for you poor guys left behind in the tech-o-sphere.

Here's a slide show that explains the wackiness of Scientology:
