I am new to the workinglines GSD and still doing my homework about the lines. Is anyone here knows about Stadtfeld Kennel? Also if anyone here has/have a dog or a puppy from that kennel?
Your help and infos will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

I think the question is what are you planning on doing with the dog? It makes all the difference in the world. Is it for Schutzhund, SAR, Personal Protection, or just a good pet? Different lines produce far different traits, even though they may both be classified as "working". I have a fair knowledge and experience with several lines used to win the BSP, Nationals, and other major Sch venues. I can fill you in on the details once I know what you want to do with your new dog. Also, I currently am not breeding any dogs so I have no "dog" in the hunt so to speak and will not try and sell you on why I think my dogs meet your needs.

I have an Etzel von Stadtfeld grandson. Very drivey, intelligent and protective. Ez to train. What exactly are you wanting to know?

While we don't personally have a Stadtfeld dog, we did visit Stadtfeld's kennel after the World Championship this year. Otto, the breeder, has both Metin Stadtfeld and Uno Stadtfeld, full littermate to Metin but younger litter with Etzel Stadtfeld the sire. Both dogs were very impressive. Massive in bone, beautiful in structure and very drivey.
We also have a friend, an SV judge, that bred her female to Uno. We were able to see this litter on our trip and although young, they were very nice puppies. We have definite plans to use Uno in the future and perhaps Metin if he is still breeding at that time as he is older.
Dh is back in Europe on an extended training trip and has seen several Metin sons in training and commented that they were very very good dogs, quite strong, and also nice in structure, large boned with very nice pigment.
