Frontline Vs K9 Advantix - Page 1

Which of these two are better ?  Frontline Vs K9 Advantix
With the tick and flee season around I am seeing one or two on my dog and would like to use something to get rid of them. I read a lot of side effects on K9 Advantix but there are a few on Frontline as well.

Which one is better ?

I have used Frontline for years, never had a problem with it.  Last year I ended up with a flea infestation and it seemed like the Frontline wasn't doing anything.  I got a box of Advantix and it eliminated those little buggers.  They're not supposed to be breeding with the Frontline, but they did because I still had a few waves of hatching, but with the Advantix on you'd see a few fleas one day then they'd all be gone.  The other nice thing about the Advantix is that it kills and repels the bugs, so if your dog is allergic to fleas, they don't have to get bit to kill them.

Advantix II kills ticks BEFORE they latch on and feed, Frontline only kills AFTER they feed, so that doesn't help prevent tick bourne diseases since they've already bitten the dog.  I use Advantix!!

Frontline kills within a few hours of tick attachment..it takes at least 48 hours for rickettsial infections to be transmitted from tick to dog. I use Frontline because I don't like the permethrine insecticide in Advantix. I had one dog that had a neuro reaction and was ataxic for a couple of days even after attempting to wash it off. 

I like Advantix better, last year I tried Frontline, and let's just say, I won't use it again. I have never had any adverse reaction to Advantix,(not to say other havn't or won't), I also use it on my Yorkies.

Neither. I like Vectra 3D, kills fleas, ticks, mosquitos, lice, and have had people say it helps with repelling gnats as well. Plus it is pretty cheap.
