Does anyone know what this is? A few friends of mine saw this in a cemetery recently. Obviously it's missing the back half...

It is gross! Did your friends dig it up?

They just kind of came up on it lol.

Looking at the teeth, clearly a carnivore and I'd rather meet it in it's current state than alive and running free!.  Any sign of a silver bullet in the vicintity?

Skull kind of looks like a badger. Also COULD be a wolverine skull, if your friend is farther north.

Looks like the burnt carcass of a young-maned lion(notice the short head and bushy burnt-out mane at the upper neck region). It could've been burnt in an attempt to dispose it off or to try to conceal the crime, given that lions are on the "endangered list".

I would take an educated guess that it's a black bear.

Where was this carcass found?

They live in the north-western part of IN

I'd call Police and have them look at.  This maybe an animal they are searching for concerning poachers. If it turns out to be nothing, no harm was done on your part.  If this was in Texas or close by there, I would say it could be a Chupacabra. JMO
