2-3 line breeding on Frankie Anrebri - Page 1

Any thoughts on that? The good and the bad. Would you buy a puppy out of this litter?

Well, unfortunately my wife won't let me buy any more dogs for a while, but I think it would be a good litter and would be tempted to buy if I was in the market. Frankie's progeny and grandchildren all look like good, solid dogs, especially the grandchildren through Emilka. If the closeness of the linebreeding is a worry for you, you might try a mix with Frankie on one side and his brother, Doksy Bady-Ron, on the other, which should have a lot of the same virtues as a 2-3 Frankie linebreeding but with a little less risk.

What about the hips? I heard Frankie throws bad hips any truth to that?

From Anrebri's site, they claim Frankie is rated 0/0 and has a ZW of 82. http://www.anrebri.cz/fanda.html Also, from leerburg forums: http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=109141&page=7 The poster claims to have 30 Frankie progeny, 9 of which have hip ratings so far- 8 at 0/0 and 1 at 0/1. Now, there are some hip problems in the line- Frankie has a sister at 4/3 hips according to the Leerburg posting, and his mother had 0/2. But that is really no worse than you will see in many lines (just look at Jeck), and for me wouldn't be enough to avoid Frankie, who is a great dog.

Someone I have been dealing with may get two females from Frankie Anrebri x Hanah Cheri Anrebri litter and the litter is line bred on Frankie. These are replacement pups for a bitch they importet in whelp and she came up empty. I was just curious if that was a good breeding. Thank you MJ Memphis!

We have a litter that is linebred 2-3 on Doksy Bady-Ron that was just whelped. Renata from Anrebri bred and planned to raise the litter but choose to sell the dam instead. I trust Renata to put dogs together that will be healthy and she did a 2-3 to Doksy so a close linebreeding on Frankie would probably be alright as well. You're quite welcome- good luck with the pups. Frankie x Hanah looks like a good mix. Klatolklin- cute pups! How did the colors come out? Looks like sables and blacks, but hard to say from the picture.

One solid black male, the rest are sables. I love solid black dogs but never breed for color. I usually end up with sables and I think I prefer them now. I guess the sables are just growing on me. Still like them dark though! Take care, Robin
