1. Which of these titles require that the dog is registered (if any)?
2. Will the general information I get off the internet be accurate on what these exactly are and what it takes to get them?
3. I only go to Dallas once a month, so the rest of the training will be up to me:
Any recommended clubs in the Dallas Tx area to get some good mentors and training support for these?
Any club pit falls I should look for?
4. In your opinion, what order should I look at getting these in?
CDX- Intermediate AKC Obedience title (is there a beginning level?)
RN- Rally Novice (obedience)
TC- GSDCA temperament test
CGC- Canine Good Citizen

Cool...
That is a good mix dog for guide dogs. Goldens are a natural for that. (beautiful dogs, but I still prefer GSDs

I am ok with not competing with registered; that is the price I pay and accept with my group. Still, the fun and challenge is what I am after. To me it is more of a "can I do it and am I finally good enough of a trainer" to get a good dog there.
(time to put my money where my mouth is

Yes ,you do need a ILP no# to compete in AKC events real easy to get .Go to AKC site copy there
registration form for ILP send in with Picture and they will give you a No# last I knew you do compete with
other reg. dogs. Did this years ago for my neice who rescued a Dobe and competed in AKC.

Is there a clear distiction in the registery about "You can register a mixed breed with AKC now, but not all clubs allow mixed breed entries. If you have a purebred with no papers you can get a PAL number through AKC and compete at performance event as though it was a papered purebred. "?
I know what I have is unreg and the litter I had is technically considered BYB; I have given my justifications, right, wrong, or indifferent.....
I will equally fight for the rights of registered breeders though. You guys worked hard for your litters. In all fairness to you, there should be a distiction for you. Your dogs are rightly in a different class than mine. Yes, I would welcome the chance to put my puppies against the registered ones to see if they past mustard. As long as doing that does not down grade the registered elite. That is a distiction well earned and paid for.
Also, my puppies will be fixed..no questions on that. Does that make a difference on trying for these titles?

need an ILP from AKC and for a purebred with no papers you need a PAL #. To compete in any events, the dog must be
spayed/neutered except for CGC.
The title before CDX is the CD. I would go for Rally Novice title before attempting the CD, to get your feet wet, so to speak.

What will I need to prove purebred (I am confident in the purebred, I just do not expect a stranger to take my word for it)?
