Are there any non-invasive treaments for Pyomtrea (SP?), which is a Uterine infection that can be deadly. Second, Is there any such thing as a dry heat cycle. Reason I ask is because I recently moved at the end of August and My female went in to heat in September... Suddenly, my male is very interested in her but she is not in season. She was recently diagnosed with Crystals in a Bladder Struvite (sp?)
Any thought would be much appreciated

What is a Repro Vet??

Reproduction Specialist veterinarian. I know there are some things that can be done as well. Here is a link to read, but contact your vet ASAP and see what he thinks. http://www.workingdogs.com/doc0099.htm
Not necessarily pyometria, but still a good idea to get her checked out. Does she have a fever (over 103)? Does she have any type of discharge?
Good luck, and let us know how things turn out. :)

No visual discharge maybe Struvite crystals passing.. No fever, loss of apetite. Otherwise normal female except for noticable licking, and my male being very interested as if she is in heat... Has not tried to mount her but is just all over her otherwise..
Real great female I hate this is happening. litter mate to eve vom wingerts-graben... Showline with real strong working drives

She was recently diagnosed with Crystals in a Bladder.
I have a bitch that I fought a bladder infection for almost a year, the vet had her on everything under the sun. All the meds warnings read liver/kidney problems. I was worried about all of this. We would get the Crystals, then the ph level would be off, problem with bacteria also. would clear up 1 or 2 of the issues but never all. So I took her off the meds and gave her vitiam C tablets for the crystals, Craneberry capsules for the bacteria and apple cider vinegar pills for the ph level less than $20. bucks, spent couple hunderd on vet visits and meds. Had her on it 7-10 days, took her off 1 week then back to the vet for recheck, CLEAR OF ALL. Now once a month I give this to her for 2 days. NO problems in 3 years. Also has worked great for my moms female. Worked so good for the dogs, I now take it 2 days a month.

Before someone jumps up, the above is not a treatment for Pyomtrea.

Doomsayer, please check the database: some weeks ago the topic of "white heat" was discussed. This is a seldom case, but a bitch can ovulate and get pregnant, when you find out the right day.
Best is , do Progesteron testing. Is there no swelling of the vulva seen?
Pyometra can be excluded by an ultrasound, so anyway, you should contact a Repro Vet.

That is true that the above post by 1doggie2 is not a treatment for Pyometria. I have a bitch who had "open" Pyometria once, complete with the smelly and viscous discharge. Upon diagnosis by ultrasound and bloodwork, she was placed on twice-daily administrations of antibiotics and injections. I now know there are two (2) types of Pyometria; "open" (with discharge) and "closed" (without discharge). Both can cause sterility and death, and must be treated very seriously!
Twice each day for seven (7) to ten (10) days (can't remember) we administered the oral antibiotics, plus an injection of a drug (can't remember) that forces labour contractions. Immediately after each injection we walked her at a quick pace for approximately two (2) miles. It was suggested that this movement would help her pass the pus and dead tissue, and distract her from the pain of labour contractions.
Our veterinarian wanted to breed her upon her next heat cycle, but we could not since we did not have her hips tested at that time. She was approximately fourteen (14) months old at the time and it was her second heat cycle.
