I favor females over males. Females seem to respond better to commands and corrections than males, plus I've found it that they like to be by your side moreso than males.

I definitely prefer females. They have ALWAYS been the easiest to train and put titles on for me. My males would finally get their titles but it always took them longer and a lot more work and trips to the shows. It seems you always have the females mind, but the males tend to get other things in their head and seem tougher. I have had males that I just LOVED but prefer females. :)

I prefer males over females.. my male respects and adores me.. our house female.. loves my husband and just 'listens' to me out of respect.. my male throws himself at my husbands feet in submissiveness .. typical pack mentality here ~~ !!

yah, I agree the females here genuinely like me, my male tolerates me... I am his bitch.Then I do have to admit that I am OK with that.

Last dog was a female rough collie. Current dog is a male GSD. For me personally they both bonded equally to me. I wish they would both have left me alone a little more and were a tiny bit more aloof.

The common thread seems to be whichever dog selflessly concerns itself most with our needs and desires. Contrary to most here, mine is a male, and so am I.
