Armed EPA Agents Visit Ashville Man
http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/47013
- Alan Caruba Wednesday, May 30, 2012
Sometimes a small incident says volumes about a large government agency. In this case the Environmental Protection Agency.
Around 1.45 PM on May 23, Ashville, North Carolina resident Larry Keller was in the midst of an international call which he had to cut short in order to answer his front door. He found two armed agents of the EPA who were accompanied by an Ashville Police officer.
According to a May 24 news story in the Ashville Tribune, a weekly newspaper to which I am a contributing columnist, the agents had blocked his and his neighbor’s driveways with their cars. They had driven all the way from Raleigh to confront him.
What had he done? The unannounced visit had been occasioned by news that Dr. Al Armendariz, a regional EPA administrator whose 2010 lecture had been videotaped and been released by the office of Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) on April 25th. In the lecture, Dr. Amendariz had said that the agency’s “general philosophy” was to “crucify” oil and gas producers.
He compared the agency’s “philosophy of enforcement” to the way, as a Wall Street Journal editorial reported, “Romans used to conquer little villages in the Mediterranean. “They’d go into a little Turkish town somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they saw and they would crucify them, And then you know that town was really easy to manage for the next few years. The point is to ‘make examples’ of alleged lawbreakers.”
The case in point had been Range Resources, a driller who had been exonerated of charges of water pollution as the result of fracking. As the Wall Street Journal noted, the reference to executions “raise(d) questions not only about” not only Dr. Arnendariz’s comments “but the EPA’s larger impartiality and judgment.”
Keller, who describes himself as “a bit of a political activist” had emailed the EPA Director of External Affairs, Dr. David Gray, saying “Hello Mr. Gray. Do you have Mr. Armendariz’s contact information so we can say hello?”
That was enough to dispatch two armed agents to his front door. He was told by one agent that “…my choice of words in the email could be interpreted in many ways.” They did not identify themselves, but asked if he had ever been arrested. He responded swiftly that he had not. When he asked for a copy of his email, they refused to provide it because “the case was still under investigation.”
His wife arrived home and the agents did not want a witness so “They left in a big hurry.”
The Ashville Tribune by Catherine Hunter quoted Keller who described their attitude as “accusatory” reporting that he compared “their tactics to those of Nazi Germany SS methods.”
Keller contacted the agent’s supervisor, Michael Hill, and was told that the incident with Dr. Armendariz “had prompted so many emails and calls that authorities in Washington, DC ordered an investigation.”
Keller’s email inquiry to contact Dr. Armendariz was treated as a threat when it clearly was not. Since when is trying to contact an EPA administrator a crime?
“I want the world to know,” said Keller, “the government is reaching into the privacy of our homes and computers. I’ve never been so offended by the power of government in my life.”
Do we really want an EPA that uses such tactics against a citizen who has merely indicated an interest in contacting one of their administrators to comment on what he had said during a lecture?
Do we really want an EPA whose working “philosophy” regarding the oil and gas industry is to “crucify” it in order to regulate it and, as we know, is trying to thwart drilling, as well as to end the coal industry that provides an energy resource that produces one half of all the electricity in the nation?
It is, as noted, just one small incident, but it reflects the way the EPA functions in a presumably free society. Over the years I have read of many incidents in which the EPA has asserted powers to impede the most innocent actions of citizens and it is long past the time when this agency is reined in by Congress.
The only option at this point is to rid the nation of the Obama administration, crack down on the EPA, and rid us of the threat it poses in its efforts to deny entire industries from providing the energy the nation requires and attacks our agricultural and ranching communities for practices that reflect its normal operation.
As they used to advertise horror films, “Be afraid. Be very afraid.” An EPA that operates on the basis of intimidating its chosen enemies and that seeks to intimidate citizens inquiring about it, is reason enough to be afraid.

Even made an example of, perhaps.
And articles that use phrases, "we all know the EPA wants to crucify oil and gas industry..." Hogwash. We all don't know that back East at all. We sure know that the Mid West energy practices are polluting our rivers and streams with their coal burning mercury laden emissions. That's something to be afraid of, and we are going after you for that, just ask Dick.

the problem that you don't see is that the EPA can go and do what ever it wants without congressional oversight.
same with most all of these government agencies.

More credit then deserved... Im quite sure that its in plain site. Some people simply dont care about what they will leave to their children or yours. The FDA can sack you as well, without a warrant. This stuff should be scary but I think most are ignorant or worse like the example above just dont care. Heres a recent vote on allowing this type of disturbing behavior to go on unchecked.
I'll bet most didnt even know this vote took place. This vote should scare the crap out of most.
Not a single Democrat voted in favor of ending FDA raids on raw milk farmers

Natural News
Here’s some news for those who still somehow believe the political left in Washington cares about the People. After U.S. Senator Rand Paul introduced an amendment that would have ended armed FDA raids on raw milk farmers(http://www.naturalnews.com/035966_Rand_Paul_FDA_censorship.html) and legalized free speech about the curative properties of medicinal herbs, nutritional supplements and superfoods, are you curious how many Democrats voted in favor of this?
Zero.
Big fat zero, to be exact.
Not a single Democrat in the United States Senate believes in fundamental food freedom, farm freedom or the principles of liberty. Every single Democrat in the Senate is a Big Brother sellout who supports the FDA having more guns pointed in the faces of raw milk farmers, arresting them and throwing them in prison, criminalizing real food and destroying America’s small family farms.
Every single Democrat in the U.S. Senate believes that telling the truth about the beneficial effects of Chinese Medicine, or medicinal herbs, or nutritional supplements should be a crime that can also get you raided, shut down and imprisoned by the FDA. There is not a single Democrat who sees anything wrong with the government sending herbal product formulators to prison. There is not a single Democrat who believes that an Amish farmer has the right to milk a cow and sell that milk to their neighbor without being threatened by the government.
This is an astonishing milestone in U.S. history. When those in Washington who pretend to represent the People openly and publicly vote to crush the very liberties and freedoms they claim to protect, you no longer have a real Democracy. You have a police state.
Only 15 Senate Republicans believe in liberty
The Republicans are only slightly better on this issue, by the way. Most Republicans also voted against this amendment. But here are the good guys who supported it:
Kelly Ayotte (R-NH)
John Boozman (R-AR)
Jim Coburn (R-OK)
John Cornyn (R-TX)
Mike Crapo (R-ID)
Jim DeMint (R-SC)
Mike Johanns (R-NE)
Ron Johnson (R-WI)
Mike Lee (R-UT)
Rand Paul (R-KY)
Jim Risch (R-ID)
John Thune (R-SD)
Pat Toomey (R-PA)
David Vitter (R-LA)
Roger Wicker (R-MS)
All the above Senators — who just happen to be Republicans — deserve your thanks, by the way. Call their offices and tell them how much you appreciate them standing up for fundamental food freedom and farm freedom, even if you don’t agree with their positions on everything else.
85% of the U.S. Senate supports total FDA tyranny over raw milk, farms, food and supplements
The really astonishing point in all this is that out of 100 US Senators, only 15 voted to stop FDA tyranny against farmers.
Just a generation ago, this vote would have been 99 in favor and 1 opposed. But today, with the rise of the corrupt, criminal government police state, 85% of U.S. Senators have joined the criminal gang and only seek to expand the power of that criminality. This is a sobering realization about where our country is headed and just how little time we all have left to restore liberty before the whole thing collapses into a total police state takeover with our government murdering millions.
There is no more dangerous entity in the history of the world than a power-hungry government. Inevitably, all such governments quickly turn evil and destructive, often ending in the mass death of tens of millions of innocents. The ghosts of Hitler, Stalin, Mao and other regimes now echo throughout the chambers of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. With each new vote — the Patriot Act, NDAA, Food Safety Modernization Act, etc. — our own representatives thrust us one step closer to a totalitarian dictatorship. Step by step, day by day, a future of mass government death and destruction where the People are stripped of all freedoms inches every closer.
This must be stopped. America is worth saving from its enemies, even if those enemies exist within the highest ranks of the legislative branch itself. It is the duty of every American to take all (non-violent) steps necessary to remove traitors from office and demand loyalty to the U.S. Constitution and its Bill of Rights, or we will soon find ourselves conquered, enslaved, medicated and malnourished, force-fed GMOs and vaccinated at gunpoint by a tyrannical medical police state that answers only to its corporate masters.
Stand your ground, friends. Stand for liberty. Without liberty, there is no future worth fighting for, and as things exist in the U.S. Senate today, there is not a single Democrat who believes in liberty at all (and few Republicans who do either).

We had a chicken farmer here in PA shot and killed by the FEDs because he sold eggs off his farm to the locals. He sold eggs for over 30 years. Evidently, one wasn't a local. He raised broiler chickens for the local chicken plant, but made extra moneys selling eggs on the side from Reds that got mixed in with the broiler peeps shipment. He only had about 40 laying hens .. gezzzz
He had no idea they were RAIDin his property while he was cleaning his 2 story chicken house, when he heard gun shots because they killed his dogs he came running outta the chicken house with a shovel and SWAT shot him dead. His 14 year old son witnessed it all. Right or wrong selling eggs on the side .. he didn't deserve to die. The FEDs took his farm and within weeks a new owner took over with a outta state government contract. WTF !!!
Pennsylvania (thank goodness) RAW milk is still legal to drink and sell - just can't sell it outta the state. The FEDs and MSM are pushing for it's demise though. Luckily, PA is a huge farm community - Dairy and Veal producing state, farmers in yo face everywhere kinda thing.
I laugh everytime I see a news article saying RAW milk linked to Salmonella or Ecoli (E) or or or ... only a non farmer would believe such a claim. Same with eggs.
Does anyone other than a farmer know the stages of RAW Milk ?

Ohh all that harmful bacteria I ingested everyday in life ... Does the Body Good !!
Seriously, I wonder what the rest of the world thinks .. the American government killing people drinking or selling RAW milk.

Michigan pig farmers have been targeted in armed government raids in which one farmer shot all of his own pigs, now declared an invasive species, in lieu of felony charges.
NaturalNews can now confirm that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has, in total violation of the Fourth Amendment, conducted two armed raids on pig farmers in that state, one in Kalkaska County at Fife Lake and another in Cheboygan County.
Staging raids involving six vehicles and ten armed men, DNA conducted unconstitutional, illegal and arguably criminal armed raids on these two farms with the intent of shooting all the farmers’ pigs under a bizarre new “Invasive Species Order” (ISO) that has suddenly declared traditional livestock to be an invasive species.

It is important for US Citizens to realize that this tyranny is spreading throughh all parts of the USG and state Govts too. The US military is now being turned against the US Citizen, thanks to the Patriots acts and NDAA 2012 which technically have declared the USA part of a worldwide war zone and targeted US dissenters and patriots (actually anyone they choose) as Terrorists, domestic terrorists, or suspected domestic terrorists, any which of these catagories allows capture, improisonment, torture at a black prison site outside the USA and even murder of that individual, all without any warrant, legal reprsentation or trial. This violates our basic rule of law, the Constitution and Bill of Rights and is an act against humanity under International law.
Torture is illegal in any form, but the USG ignores this and passes lawssupposedly making it okay, in direct violation of the Constitution. And now thanks to Homeland Security (the New American Gestapo) the USG has ordered 30,000 drones which can be armed, to patrol the skies of the USA to spy and destroy any so designated "potential domestic terrorists". Also Homeland Security has just ordered 450 million rounds of 40 caliber "black Talon" type ammo which is illegal for use in battle underbthe Generva Convention. And another 250 million rounds of .223. These are to be used against American Citizens when the SHTF sometime they expect will be in the near future as the economy crashes and burns (maybe within the next year or two).
Unless Americans wake up, and politically organize and take their country back from these tyrants in power, America is dead and a fascist police state will take over COMPLETELY. And there won't be any private dog sports then, no GSD breeding, training or showing and no importing of them either.
