Okay, so yeah, too early to be excited (not like his results came back yet) but with Sitasmom's suggestion of using a spoon to squeeze his saliva/cells out of the swab, we FINALLY got a GOOD collection!

Last time the card looked NOTHING like this, and I only had to swab ONCE!

I also gave Beau a HEAPING bowl of water about two hours before the test, which helped. I kept him caged and calm, which ALSO helped.

Here's how the card looks, I'll be sending it off tomorrow.

**PLEASE NOTE, THE PICTURES WERE TAKEN RIGHT AFTER COLLECTION, THEY HADN'T DRIED YET. ALSO, NO MY FINGER DID NOT TOUCH THE PURPLE PART, DESPITE WHAT THE FIRST PICTURE LOOKS LIKE.**

Pretty good, eh? Sad that THIS is the extent of my excitement....

You spit on it didn't you? That's not really from Beau, that's all yours.....we'll know if you're DM free or not though....

LMAO sure, GSDGuy

Naw, in all seriousness, the big difference was letting him drink a huge bowl of water about two hours before the test and keeping him quiet in his crate. Last time he was rough housing with Lilah and hadn't had a drink of water since lunch time, so he was pretty parched.

He wasn't exactly SALIVATING this time, but I scrubbed his cheek harder, and for about 10 seconds longer and VIOLA, a GOOD collection!

ha..ha...GSDguy...you are to funny.

DDRczechfan...I know exactly how you feel. I just sent Cisco's test kit in.

I read your first post about having problems, so before I swabbed Cisco I teased him a little with the promise of hot dogs first. Worked like a charm  and of course he got a few bites of hot dog for reward after words.
