Uri vom Amulree was the pinnacle of 40 plus years of breeding for Isobel Anderson and he lived (and showed) for Fiona. He was unique and of course irreplaceable, but he has left a legacy of children and grandchildren and will never loose his place in the breed. He was admired worldwide. It was a great honour to have known Uri, and an honour indeed to share his last few days and devastating moments with Fiona and Isobel. Heartfelt sympathies. He was 'the brawest of the lot.' Jo xxx

Penny / Mo Uri passed away on Sunday afternoon, a little suddenly but not unexpectedly as his heart was no longer so strong. We had taken him into the field, gently with his pal lovely Yolli, as Fiona & Isobel had experienced little 'turns' with him if he overdid it. We wandered up his field (where he stopped often to watch Yolli, or fiona, in the same stance we all strive for, even at 10 years old) and wandered back and when he got back to his kennel he lay down and was gone. Im truly glad Fiona, Isobel and Mike were all at home and outdoors, so were with him in his last few moments. very, very sad. And a huge breed chapter ended. It is also particularly sad that his brother Uari passed away just a week before him, and his sister Ute only a matter of months before. Uri is buried in his field, beside his mother Yazz, and his half sister Vixy. Joanne Cathie Zollhaus GSD
