Its that time of the year that we celebrate Diwali in India the festival of lights and crackers, and lot of cracker bursting. Is this product advisable to calm our dogs?? what should we do if the dog barks incessantly at the crackers and gets excited & stressed??

Happy Diwali. It may be best for the dogs to bring them inside. I recall that people light crackers all night.
If the dogs can deal with it for a very short time, then that is actually somewhat of a good thing. Especially if they show a willingness to challenge the source of the noise and not run and hide. But, too much of any loud noise is not good for their ears or their hearts so one must be prudent. I know of one (1) champion GSD who died from a heart attack when he was left outside in his kennel during an Independance Day celebration in the U.S.A.
Noise conditioning is important for the dogs, and it helps them deal with the stress of loud and sudden sounds such as gunfire. But, this is done slowly and built up gradually as the dog can tolerate it. I use crackers (we call them firecrackers) to simulate gunfire when training a puppy, and eventually move to a small calibre handgun and eventually to a large calibre as they become older.
Will the pheromone help? I can't say. If it is not placed on the dog's skin then it will probably do no harm.

i use d.a.p. all the time when needing to prevent stress i.e. new dogs, hurricanes, 4th july, etc. it can work 4 mild stress with well bred dogs with good nerves. but on poorly bred dogs that are utterly afraid of their own shadows, i dont know if it would work.
