What GSDCA-WDA Does to Members - Page 1

Think that members of GSDCA-WDA should know these facts of what went on for a 13 year member.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   Prior to membership being due, several email posts, 4 at least, were sent out to to the membership, but I did not receive any of them. I asked why and was told that it WAS ALL MY FAULT for this or that reason, all of which are total lies. Nothing matched meaning the fault was with WDA. But has become so common place: I am to BLAME!!!!!   Due to huge health costs for a beloved GSD with a brain tumor and a compressed spine disk that needed to be cleaned out, money has been tight. So, I waited until the last minute to renew membership in WDA. The credit card used has been used to pay the health costs and due to knowledge of the Regional mgr, the credit can be offset by the saving acct that was to be used for a big suv, but not now. So, it is a GOOD card.   This card was used. I was told some days later that the card was not accepted! I was now over due for membership for the 13th year. A card that is good!! I was sent a copy of the rejection form. I called Newtec and asked why??? They said that all their filters accepted my good card. The problem was the WDA filters. And I told the President and the Office Mgr about that. Pres said to send a check by snail mail. I would not be considered a non member. Absolutely no response to their filters problems and my good card. But remember that I was to be BLAMED for their failure.   In the meantime, you all heard about a ballot and received magazines and emails. So, I was still suppose to be a member, but received NO materials no information that you all received!!!! Some kind of letter went out to members on March 13 or there abouts about these ballots.   Then I decided to check both MailChimp and Constant Contact that handle the Regional and National Conference Calls email. Constant Contact said I was ok. Oh the other hand, MailChimp said that they would have to make some changes to their system. Nate of that company was able to send me emails, but when I asked about doing a mock production run, he said he did not have permission to do so. From my background, I know that test runs maybe be ok, but in production the modification does not work.   But if Constant Contact said I was ok, then why didn't I receive those 4+ emails???? Oh, I know, it was MY FAULT, I have to be BLAMED!!!!   But if Constant Contact was ok, why didn't I receive any information. And the information was not on the main web page???? I do not do FB, so do not know if any info was there or not. I have heard that any opposition posts are removed immediately. I do not know, as I do not do FB and I do not know if that is in the By laws. I think that envelopes and paper ballots went out in the mail, but guess who did not get them. I guess I am to be BLAMED for that also.   In the meantime there was silence from the Head guys!! Was I a member or not? I could not find out. I found out about the ballots from the Board's membership opposition and how they should be sent in to some place and how the ballots would be counted. The opposition also talked about the new magazine. I complained to the Pres and Office Mgr and again the good ole Silent Treatment. Time passed and passed. And I complained and complained. No ballot, no mags, no conference calls, etc and etc.   Finally, I received the skinny JAN/FEB mag and NOT the Mar/Ap mag. NO BALLOT to which I was entitled as THEY would not accept a perfectly good card that never has a huge amount on it, only the one time and the Reg Mgr knew to use my savings acct to offset it that one and only time. I did find a card in the envelope.   The last time I received an email from MailChimp was in late Mar when all was suppose to be ok.   Here I get an email from the Pres saying that he had tried to enter my addy into the system and he was told that I had UNSUB'D. WHAT??????? How could I have unsub'd when I did not receive those posts if the first place!!!!!!! So, I had saved that last test email and went to it and forwarded it to the Pres. I noticed that at the bottom of this test email was a tiny word about unsubscribe. Why in the !@#$% would I have click it when it was a TEST for them to see if my addy worked in their system. I also sent the test back to Nate to tell him to get me on the system. See, they also supposedly told the Pres that due to security, I'd have to subscribe not him. Geeeez, this is a property of WDA and NOT me!!!! He should be the one to decide who gets the email and NOT me just a member and NO Board member. So, I am to be BLAMED again!!!   MailChimp claims that they respond immediately! Well it has been over 24 hours and no reply. So I looked up their phone numbers which are in GA and have NO human attached. I posted to two locations within their system and to the WDA Pres. No answer yet and it has been hours and hours for this second request for information. Oh, remember, I am to be BLAMED, it is MY FAULT!!   Now with this mess, I guess I have not been a continious member as is required some place in the By Laws. Do not worry, I do not belong to GSDCA and do not plan to do so, so that keeps me from doing anything in the first place. And bottom line, I do not want to be an officer.   WHAT IN THE !@#$% IS GOING ON????????????? First, I am not allowed to use my good credit card and then BLAMED for it not working. No one helps me with that!!!! Then as per the Pres, I send in the paper check. And I am BLAMED for not receiving those 4 National Conference call emails. I NEVER receive the ballots!!!!! I never receive the MAR/AP mag. Then I am agained BLAMED for UNSUBing MailChimp when I did not!!!!   I have to TRY to do the research to find out why and NO ONE responds or helps in WDA for me.   <<<<<IS THERE SOMEONE IN WDA WHO IS DOING THIS STUFF TO ME???>>>>>   I am not competing at all!!!! I know very few people in WDA and even then it is only to say hi/good bye someplace. I have been on one training area only say 3 times. Only part of one trial. At two dinners. Young dog has BH and that is it. Only title earned or my dogs have in the organization. Even if I wanted to, ole dog has cost me so much money and time. I am with her 28/8 for the last 11 months to save her life and she is worth all of it.   So, what do I have that causes me not to be able to renew and to be mistreated and not given what every other member gets?????? And to be BLAMED for any and everything!!   I may not be able to afford to go to Colorado for arbitration if I wanted to and cannot board the ole dog as she would die being away from me. It would cost more than the $ 50.   If it can happen to little ole me it can happen to you where YOU are BLAMED. I have forgotten about other things for which I have been BLAMED. I have nothing and do not belong to any club. I am not worth anything, but I can talk and I will let other know what happened to me. AND the good ole SILENT TREATMENT AND BLAME!!!!   xyz

Yikes....I just joined WDA and my membership is pending. But, after reading so many posts about them, I am really unsure about the organization. 

You were right to post here as I know there are several WDA members who come to the forum. Maybe one of them is heavily involved and can PM you and help you out. If you have been a member for 13 years than you must be quite upset over everything.

I don't have anymore to add other than that....hopefully, someone will contact you privately.

That friend has found out basically why all those things happened.  Person did nothing, but was/is not liked for some reason.  You may be approved to join, but are still not a member.  So, just be careful about thinking you can title a dog.  Might be in the middle when suddenly things happen.  Thank goodness this person is between dogs.  Person is soooo shocked to have these things happen and they are true and documentated.  It had be have been done by someone with power in WDA.  Could not have been done otherwise.  Very, very sad.  Victim just could not believe what was done.  Victim does not want the same thing to happen to others.  Yes, the whole story is soooo compicated that it is unbelieveable, but documentated.  Just watch your back and you cannot be too little for this to happen to you as happened to this victim.

Victim says that it is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!!  and with documentation.

k9nme: Well, this is clear as mud!

I have been trying to get a hold of my WDA Regional director to know avail. I tried to e-mail and he answered my e-mail by saying to call him. So, I have left several messages via phone but have not heard back. Maybe he is busy but it would have been nice to say "please call but I won't be available until after such and such date" if that wa sthe case.  I don't know where else to turn as I figured he could definitely answer my questions as regional director and this show is coming up in June.

On a positive note, my name appeared in the minutes I just received under new memberships which, for some reason, does fill me with a bit of excitement.

Welcome to the WDA. There are lots of good people in the organization. Unfortunately, there are a few who believe their position entitles them to do as they please.

I have spoken out and felt the rath of the chosen few as well. Very sad. There are some dangerous things being done. I am hearing from many people who are upset about the organization.
