I know how to register a dog, but I don't know how to register a dog if you don't know one of their parents.

You register the dog, but for one of the missing parents it must say either "no information about the sire" or "no information about the dam". If one (1) parent is unknown, then that is the way it is.
Is this a living dog?

Yes it's a living dog. The father is Colin Malemi, and It just won't work. I put the father in there but it said neither parent could be found.

AandJ, when prompted about the father, just enter his first name. On the next page it will show a list of the choices if they exist. If that does not work, try entering his registration number.
Past all that, Oli may have the database locked for a while during the changes for the new site. What you originally tried to do may be very possible tomorrow. It would not be the first time.
