So, I got asked today if Auggie was a wolf hybrid.  I'd expect people to ask if Little Dude (he was with us too) was a hybrid, but this woman pointed at Auggie and asked if he was one.........I told her he's a German Shepherd, but she still thought he was a hybrid and went on to tell me how she wants to get a hybrid.   Then later I had one woman ask me what breed he was, and when I told her German Shepherd she told me he was too small........I told her he's almost 15 weeks old.....Her response..... oh.....   So, I'm curious, you guys with black sables, blacks, or bi colors, what all are your Shepherds mixed with these days?

I would tell you,but then I would have to kill you. hahahah Just kidding.

A freind who has worked my dogs for several years now always gives me a hard time about my Axel going back on Orry Antverpa and that Antverpa was know for sticking a Mali in every now and then. So when I line bred on Troll I really hear it now.  When ever your tired of "Little Dude" ship him my way.

Coyote! That's what some have asked about my female GSD, also sable. When I tell them she's three years old, they think she's
too small also. Let's see, my bi-color is mixed with rotti and there's no such thing as a black GSD, don't you know that?

If it's not black and tan, people around here don't have a clue.

I forgot about that one Bob!! I have had so many dog people ask if she's a shepwa or malinois!! Ha ha ha...

Weird enough, she also goes back to Orry Antverpa. I have heard that before too about mali in the wood pile.

The general public, I've come to the conclusion, quite frankly is completely stupid. hah.

If its not 150lbs, walking on its pasterns, with its ass touching the ground, its not a german shepherd.

Gotta love the great steryotype!

Last time I took one of my puppies to a store for socialization I was supposed to "submit my wolf hybrid from the beginning on her back and make sure I do it often"... I smiled and told her thank you and walked away very fast. That lady was very serious.

In all honesty, does he look like a Mali? Maybe some Kangaroo...

My friend has a 9 month old dark sable who everyone thinks is a Timber wolf. I don't know why, but apparently sables are wolves :) That being said, I have a typical black and red saddle GSD and I get asked what she is every time someone sees her. Is that an Australian Shepherd? Is that a Chow? Is that a Sheepdog? Some people are retarded, and when you say no it's a german shepherd, they're bumfuzzled. I had one lady love all over Luna when she thought that she was a Chow, and when I said she was a German Shepherd, the lady jumped back like a snake had bit her. Some people.
