Does anybody own progeny that are producing well out of Antverpa lines? Also looking at backgrounds with Tiekerhook, vom Haus Milinda, van Guy's Hof and von Muikenshof.

I have a daughter of Ufo v Guy's Hof - she is producing well with progeny in working clubs in Belgium, Norway, US, Germany. Several pups with BHs, I think a VPG 1 in Germany and several on the way to their 1s. Her first litter, which I have a 28 month old son from [currently co-owned and in Vermont] was from an Orry v h Antverpa son, now owned by 06 WUSV competitor P. Waldstrom and standing at his Imzedrift kennel in Sweden. Nice producing dog from all reports. Interestingly - that litter from Q haus Shiho is line bred on *Esthera* Tiekerhook and Link Muikenshof. Currently nursing a 2 week old litter from Gringo Mohnwiese.

Thanks Kougar. Do you feel they are more "sport" dogs or serious K-9/personal protection material? How about nerves?

by Kougar on 19 October 2006 - 00:10

too general a question - when you look at all these "lines" or pedigrees - they mix match and combine in so many combinations that the individuals run the gamut! I have seen a couple of nice dogs who carry the v h Antverpa name - yet are not related in the first 4 generations! Totally differnet dogs with different lines. My own - now co-owned - male has superb nerves and temperament - sport or real remains to be seen...check with the TD working him now! Another litter I had went back to a male 2-2 on Nessel v h Antverpa - looking at 4 of these they are very very solid in nerves - both environmental and socially yet high in suspicion, easy to trigger into active aggression and fight drive...3 in working homes - 2 wiht BHs and 1 should do his at Mike Diehls in a few weeks...all going onto Schutzhund titles...the third male is a K9 with the Vermont State Police...not sport dogs - but this is ONE litter. FWIW - I have been told that Nessel was more likely to produce dogs suitable for LE than sport. The one son of Nessel I met personally [from Rani Dalenburghutte] definitely was not a soft, social or sporty dog. Having met several Ufo dogs, all I have seen have super nice temperament and great ball drive.

I have a Ludo v. Tiekerhook son who is a working urban search and rescue dog. He has produced alot of drive with excellent temperment. I have bred him to my Chech bitch (all boarder patrol lines) with excellent pigmentation. If you would like any more info please email me privately Sarah

Hello New here- But I have a male Schuler's Max. can be seen on this site. He is a hard male that was sold as a home pet. This did not go well and was then placed with a police officer who was going to train him for police work. He was already 2 years old then and he was told that he was to old already. He was then trained for sport and got his BH. He then had a Brown Recluse spider bite and lost his leg. I now have him. He is a realy great working dog all his puppys need to have a strong handler. He produces nice work and ball drives. Very confident. Very sharp. Not very sporty. He still going strong at 6 with 3 legs.

http://www.orkies.com/?q=Sale you might want to check out this litter from a troll milinda son, plus linebreeding on orry antverpa and steffi tiekerhook. sounds like they could be very impressive and only 3-4 wks old.

4 - I have an Orry grandson who's almost 6. He's large (and a coat). Very, very steady temperment - he's so laid back, it's like he's on drugs!!! Does very impressive bite work- fearless, full mouth bites. Also moves very well, considering how big he is. I worked with a nationally known helper who said that at first he didn't think that he would do much-this was before he worked him. Afterwards, he was really bowled over- couldn't believe his speed and strenght. What impressed him the most was that my guy looked him right in the eye during the defense part with no fear or question at all-he was completely confident. This is also a dog that lets my kittens play all over him, lets the girls push him around and travels with a male Malinois to AKC shows(he also does Rally and Obed.)without a problem. He's a real class act.
