Is there a source for Doxycycline (Vibramycin)?

I plan to use it a month before the next season on my girl.

The problem with  culture and sensitivity is that it is often or always positive. The harmful impact on conception is based on quantity or concentration and the  wherabouts (uterus vs vagina) of the bacteria, which a culture and sensitivity test will not tell. The result of culture and sensitivity test is not useful. The antibiotic drugs will be used no matter what, nearly always, if there is  a concern about harmful impact on conception.

Is tetracycline also safe and effective against mycoplasma?

these are very strong antibiotics and some can disrupt reproduction ...... talk to your veterinarian reproduction specialist before doing anything.

Thanks

This site if often very helpful.

Doxycycline is safe and is effective against mycoplasma. It is not safe for embryos so cannot be used too close to heat.

You can buy inexpensive, high quality antibiotics with out prescription. Bird Biotic is Doxycycline. Fish Biotics has the tetracycline and cephalexin.

Is Doxycycline  bitter?

Does you dog eat it when mixed with food?

The reason I ask is that tablets are easier to break apart and give part of instead of in multiples of 100 mg. If it is tasteless then tablets are better. If the dog won't eat it capsules are better.
