I have noticed several kennels doing kennel reductions. Noticed other cutting prices and adding words such as "asking" this amount or even make an offer.
Wonder if supply is exceeding demand?

Could be the blood is oversaturated or the confirmation or drives are not there. Could be alot of things maybe price too high for puppy/dog. Maybe it's the usual,"show season is over and someone has to go" Maybe no problem, just moving on making room for the new prospects. Might be they want to reduce how many water pails they want to thaw in winter. I guess, I would wonder who the kennel is. Might be some understanding in that.

I agree with Gsdlvr2. Aside from competition being over for a while, it may be but coincidence that several kennels are selling a few adults. Probably to bring in some fresh blood. I would suspect this, as it is common practice to semi-retire dogs who are at or just past the peak of their careers in order to develop some newer dogs. Maybe it is just a timing issue.
The times that I do notice this, many of the dogs are for sale on a co-ownership basis in order to preserve the integrity of the offering kennel.

I agree that makes sense.
I have been looking at a few older males and thinking about trying to get one just for a pet so they have a good home to enjoy in retirement.
That's when I noticed several kennels reducing their numbers.

We looked all summer for a good female over the web I searched a lot of kennels and nothing really good (for what I was looking for)was available, as a matter of fact most kennels had no adults available. Someone in our club and some kennels I talked with said that the titled females go very fast (of course)and the ones that have no titles are the one you keep seing out for sale for longer periods and their price are too high , some had no training what so ever. I think that a little bit of foundation is best when you are trying to sell any young dogs. I ended up buying a female w/a BH and ready for a SChutz1 from a smaller breeder that really had no interest selling this female I now own, but money makes things happen. I think that females or males with some foundation are just more attractive to any buyers and when dogs don't have any, you will see their price drop or see "make me an offer" .
