Ive been reading this website for a while now decided to finally join. Im in search of a new male puppy for sport and maybe future breeding. I have been watching a lot of videos and reading about Lasco progency. from what i have learned it seems like he produces very serious and tough dogs in bite work. I was just wondering if anyone on here has seen or know of anyone with his progency and how the are? I was also looking at Tiekerhook dogs but they seemed pretty high for a puppy? Any input would be helpful thank you

You may also want to consider a dog out of Tom or Yoschy for nice bitework and will have more of a selection to choose from, some nice producers out there, but more important is to look at the parents themselves and the pups themselves, sometimes you can can have a super nice pedigree but in many cases it doesnt translate to the type of pup you seek, proof is in the puppys and make sure you test them well when young to look at all weak points they will carry onto adulthood, depend on what you see in a pup and not what you would like to see, depend on the instincts they came into the world with. | |

I really like to see Lasco in a pedigree--I think he and his sister were both very strong producers. I love to see him partly because he's one of the few lines back to Ilja that is common in today's dogs (his dad was 3-2 on Ilja).
Ilja brought in great prey drive, trainability, and a very good relationship with the handler while still being a very strong dog who wasn't soft to the handler.
On his mother's side, Briska is a littermate to the father of Troll/Tino/Torro v Koerbelbach--a top working producer who brought in a lot of hardness and fight drive.
His whole pedigree is full of excellent dogs and I think he's a very good producer. I think he brings in hardness, fight drive, and good looks along with very good trainability.
If you look at the kennels who bred to him and what he produced, it looks like he was especially good at producing females who produced well, so you will often see him on the motherline of a pedigree.
His sister has also produced very well, especially in combination with Falk vd Wolfen.
