I hear that there are 128 males entered in the upcoming Sieger Show in St Louis. With the start of the show only 2 weeks away does anyone have any dogs in the working male and female classes that we should watch for? Any early favorites for VA?

Michael10, Where did you get that information? That would be about double the entry for the working males from some years, so I wonder if the figure is skewed somehow......If it is true, let's hope the class is of high quality. Otherwise, rankings may mean little.

tHEY SENT AN ENTRY CONFIRMATION and it said over 400 dogs are entered with 128 dogs in working class. I thought they meant working males but there are deinitley over 400 dogs entered

Fantastic! Now I'm REALLY sorry I can't make it this year.

There are always some entries withdrawn at the last minute. I'm figuring Karat's Ulko will have his training issues resolved and will make an easy VA. I expect him to leave a few bruises also. Same top group from Danbury will likely make a good showing. Has anyone seen any top Dux sons or grandsons in the US? (not Irk he's a little too bitchy)

I wish everyone great luck, and most of all, have fun and enjoy the time spent with your dog, fellow GSD fans and their dogs! Yes, it is a competition, but I think it's one in which EVERY dog who shows up has accomplished a lot just to be there, AND has an owner who cares! I would love to hear which dogs will be shown! Anyone who's entered, it would be great if you would post, unless keeping the entry a secret until "showtime". Again, good luck to all of you competing!

Bazi von der Urbecke will be in the working male group and he is sure a dog to watch for in this years competition in St. Louis.

Hated to see Irk posted as too bitchy. He is a fantastic dog with impecable working ability and a side gate to die for one of the best Dux sons in this country! He is producing his great quailty as well. He deserved better than VA7. He was a fantastic dog to work and condition.

I agree on structure, he just doesn't have enough head for a Dux son. I am surprised tha we are not seeing more Dux progeny, as there are many and very hihg quality in europe.
