If ayone has any contact information (other than email addresses) for Farrah Hendricks (Farrah Wines) of Kaykohl Land German Shepherds and also Wineshaus...please let me know.  As noted in previous posts, I purchased a puppy from her for $2800 (import from Hungary) with awesome pedigree (allegedly) last september for my daughter.  Aside from other problems I had with puppy I am now still waiting for the papers from Ms. Hendricks.  Emails more often than not go unanswered.  My last contact with her was over 25 days ago and she advised me that she had received the papers from the breeder in Hungary (VIERNHEIMI.HU ) and was going to send them out asap....STILL WAITING!  Since then, all other emails unanswered.  Also, within these last 25 days, her website has disappeared.  I have heard from numerous people with similar or worse complaints (thanks to this forum).  It seems like her breeding program has gone downhill in last two years.  I have confirmed from the breeder in Hungary that he sent the papers to her and he has no idea why she did not send them on either.  The breeder in Hungary seems reputable so I do not believe he is in on this.  I have no intentions of breeding the dog but as I mentioned, he was a gift for my daughter and she has put a TON of work into him and he is flying through all obedience work / classes.  She is even considering Rally with him (definately not shutzhund material).  The problem is that she will not be able to enter him into any AKC trials without the papers (or so I am told).  At this point, all I want are the papers.  If I do not get the papers I feel that something is amiss and I may have been the victim of a scam.  I do believe the puppy is from the breeder because the genetics seem to be there.  He was microchipped (I have #) and has a tattoo in ear.  He is however a little timid (I have my own beliefs as to why) and seems to lack the focus I am used to in Sheps (again I have my own suspicions).  He is however the perfect "lovebug" for daughter and a great "starter" shepherd for her.
I am now considering contacting local authorities to find out if I was a victim of a "bait and switch" because in my mind, without the papers, I paid $2800 for a mutt (no knock on mutts! Just not what I believed I was entering into a contract for)!
Or, I am considering legal action.  Problem is that I am in NY and she is in Montana so this will be inconvenient...but it is about the principle of the thing!
Is there a way to get these papers without Hendricks?


I really just want the papers...and would really appreciate any information or advice this forum has to offer!

i am very sorry that you had problems with this breeder , this makes me so mad , when a breeder takes advantage of buyers, i hope you do get papers and i was wondering , if  the breeder in Hungry  can help, i know the breeder in Hungry and he is a very good breeder, i would of went through him. i am glad you are telling other people about this breeder, i have been down this road so i dont trust many breeders, only the ones i know that  are good. i wish you luck. you can get a ILP # from AKC to show  in AKC events .

I am not sure if breeder in Hungary can help, I get the feeling he doesn't want to get in the middle of this (don't blame him).  I don't think he realizes problems people are having over here with Kaykohl.  I did not want to mention breeder in beginning but am fed up with the way she conducts business and treats people...so let the truth be told....

Lazslo has good dogs but most are show dogs.  I had one of his pups that died of an enlarged heart at two.  Gosh you can buy a pup from him for around $450.00 and have it shipped with another puppy pretty cheap.  $2800 dang for one pup!  Crazy.  It usually takes him awhile to get you all the papers but hes definately good for his word.  Good luck and just email Lazslo.

I was looking for show lines as I did not want daughter to have  a "gator" for first dog.  I do not mind waiting for papers as long as there is communication and valid reasons.  Lazslo has been excellent at communicating and explaining initial delays.
I think his prices have gone up but when I found this puppy I did not know he was from Lazslo.  I found him under kaykohl (she had him for 8 weeks).  As for the $$$ I know it was high but long story short I needed a good quality puppy ASAP as he was a replacement for daughters sudden ex-boyfriend (I like this dog much better than her ex-boyfriend)!  I did things I would normally never do...bought from internet....bought sight unseen. NO LECTURES PLEASE  In my defense, I did research Kaykohl (including this website) and found nothing but great reviews and great looking titled dogs.  From her website she obviously knew what she was doing.  Once I found out the dog was from Laszlo I felt even more confident this was a good puppy. I did insist on pedigrees and studied them before agreeing to purchase (how I found out he was from Laszlo).  Farrah had over 200 positive reviews on her website and had been around for at least 7 years from what I could tell.  As mentioned before...it seems she had a great program until the last two years.  All the complaints from last two years are now coming to light.  For the record it was the best $2800 I spent for two reasons....I really believe we saved puppies life and more importantly...Daughter LOVES him and is working hard with him.  It is a good thing.  I just feel that this woman's unprofessionalisim is penalizing my daughter.
