I had a bitch who went back to him--very good dog to see in a working pedigree, from what I was told back then.
As I understand it, he put a lot of drive into his puppies--I was told they were sometimes "screamers" when in drive (very vocal, high pitched bark, easily stimulated)--my girl was like that and I was told it went back to Donn.
