LoL-my young male did not like the big dog looking out of the mirror at him-spent several mintues searching for it after mirrors were relocated . . . . .

The first times an experience..lol
Mine always looked behind the mirror.
Try getting in the reflection with your dog and handle him as he watches, this is a test of intelligence, see if he realizes and makes the connection.

This morning was not the very first time-that time he was very verbal at his reflection till he decided to ignore it-but it had been a while not only did he see my reflection but also some of the other dogs which he ignored-after I picked up the mirrors he kept going up to the wall looking and sniffing as if he felt the "big dog" had slipped through the drywall . . . .

I can't believe the timing of this thread. I walked into my bedroom this morning and my pup Major followed me and then went and attacked the mirror as he saw his reflection. I tried soothing him and showing him but he just wanted to bite the damned mirror, I tried hard not to laugh but failed. Each time he walks past it he curls his lips up now, he'll figure it out, he's only 16 weeks.

I have the funniest mirror story and I swear it's totally true. I was in college and had a Chihuahua (older puppy) and a foster Pit Bull. I always kept my bedroom door open and there was a large mirror on the inside of it, so that it had to be closed to see it. I closed it one day to use the mirror and realized that my Chihuahua had never seen a mirror. He was fascinated. He leaped off the bed, looked at it, jumped up to get a better look, sat down, looked up at me, looked at me in the mirror, like "yep, that's her," turned around and looked at the foster Pit (Rico), looked at Rico in the mirror, like "yep, that's him alright," and then it was like he did a quick process of elimination as to who the 3rd reflection must belong to. He stood up, sat back down, walked back and forth several times, testing what his reflection would do. Then........................he CRIED/whined and went back and curled up on the bed. LMAO
I guess he had pictured himself more fierce???
