Hi,

I am the current owner of a one year old GSD.   In another year or two, I am possibly looking into adding an additional GSD. I'm looking into importing a Czech dog.  This will be a family companion and watchdog for our property.  Does anyone have any feedback on Aritar Bastet?  What about any other reputable breeders?  I am assuming the dog does not have to be quarantined if it is shipping to the United States?

Thank you

I think the most well known among the Czech breeders would be jinopo (http://www.jinopo.cz/main.php), and their representative in the US is Hans from AlpineK9 (www.alpinek9.com).  No quarantine required when shipped to the US.

Zbynek Divis is a veteranarian as well as owner of Aritar Bastet. I have a friend who imported a female from him. Nate Harves was doing a seminar and worked Varra. He was very impressed with her and offered to buy her. My friend will be breeding his male, Truce Vom Haus Cimmerian SchIII to Varra z Stribrneho Kamene SVVI. Zbynek owned some of the dogs in both pedigrees and recommmended this breeding. I like Aritar Bastet and I also like what Vit Glisnek at kennel Vikar is producing as well. Good luck!

Be sure to do plenty of research on any breeder you choose. Google the name, search this forum as well as other forums. Do your homework very carefully and buyer beware.

Don't hesitate to look at Eurosportk-9 in Slovakia  I have 2 dogs from them both certified sar dogs. Several of my friends have also gotten dogs from them for SCh, sar and pets. about 11 total. everyone has been satisfied  Taunya is excellent to deal with and they have dogs in both Slovakia and Texas

Hello,

As a breeder of WL GSD we have come across several great colleagues. You don't have to import to get a good pedigree dog. There are several breeders in north America that are specialized in Czech lines or West German lines. We are currently breeding our top stud" Lubeck von der Mahler Meister" with a powerfull bitch of Czech WL GSD. "Cara Z Jirkova Dvora".
A combination we are very exited about, for they are seemingly a perfect fit!

I would recommend Howlingoodtimes.com as a top breeder.
No matter which road you choose
I wish you succes and pleasure in your venture with the Dogs!

Ive been looking for a Czech pup also. Visited Joan at VomRon a week or so ago. She has a female , super, bred to a recent import from Czech. I think his name is Charik. Multiple titles and a WSUV competor. She is due early Dec. I have decided on a pup from that litter. No shipping expense and I have actually seen both parents and met the breeder. A real plus in my mind.
