ok so the female had swelling no blood she was doing the male as to show him what to do but he wasnt interested another female in the kennel was coming out of heat. which may have put this female into heat? anyway she kept trying she was standing and flagging he was licking only. when the time comes he was really interested along with another male. The stud male just couldnt get she would stand but his drive wasnt there. now they are really going crazy but shes not having it no more her vulva is tight and she is much less swollen. ANY IDEAS

Bigbrother, here is where I have to defend and recommend the progesterone level test. Perhaps she is really ready, although it is impossible to tell just by a visual examination. As you read the comments on your first post a day or so ago, so much of the time it is so easy to tell. Your bitch definitely sounds as if she is having what was described as a "white" heat. I never heard that term before, but I have not heard a lot of things. It does, however, make sense. Bob-O

YES I READ ALL THE GREAT INFO AND A WHITE HEAT SOUNDED POSSIBLE, BUT I THOUGHT IT SAID THERE WOULD BE NO SWELLING (WHICH THERE WAS SOME) JUST NO BLOOD. I THINK SHE IS VERY CLEAN. BY TIME THE BOYS STARTED TO SHOW INTEREST IT WASNT ENOUGH FOR THE STUD MALE TO EAGERLY DO HIS THING. AS HIS INTEREST PEAK ALL HER SIGN FLAGGING MOUNTING AND STANDING DIMINISHED. NOW SHE IS NOW WAY IN HEAT ANYMORE AND HE IS OUT OF HIS MIND. SO TO ME IT SEEMS AS THOUGH SOMEONES TIMING IS OFF. IT CONCERNS ME BECAUSE I THINK IT MAY BE THE MALE BUT UNSURE. TESTING IS GREAT BUT RIGHT NOW MY CAR GOT WRECK BY SOMEONE AND MY VET IS OVER 100 MILE AWAY AND TO DO THAT FOR A WEEKS IS NOT FEASABLE RIGHT NOW.
