Is there a national organization (here in the USA) that sponsors training events and/or trials for furthering working lines titles such as the SVV1 or ZVV1 titles to SVV3 or ZVV3? I ask because I'm new to all of this and really love the working line GSD, but noticed many are imported with SVV1 or ZVV1 titles. If those titles can not be impoved upon to SVV3 or ZVV3 here in the USA... do you have to start all over and retrain your working line dog for Schutzhund trial rules? If yes, then why hasn't someone started a national organization for completing these titles over here. Obviously someone must have noticed this void and tried to have filled by now? Supply and demand comes to mind, but it would seem there would be plenty of pressure on the demand side of the equation... so why no supply? Is there some sort of Shutzhund Mafia I'm not aware of?

There are at least 3 organizations here in the USA that are internationally affiliated. Those would be GSDCA-WDA(german shepherd dog club of america working dog association), USCA(united sch. clubs of america), and DVG. Each has training clubs and most import European judges for the trials. There are many different abbreviations for the titles, mostly having to do with which country the title is obtained in. They all are basically Schutzhund titles and equally respected as such. You can look up the USA organizations through google search. Each organization has links to local club listings.
Hope that helps some.
