Anyone know a good spray to apply on dogs coat to prevent contact. Flys Off I know about anything else?

The spray version of Frontline - not the drops but the spray bottle stuff works well. Using gloves, you spray some on the dog(s) and rub it into the coat. You can also get around the eyes and the ears without getting any in their eyes. My friend has had great success with it(she has a horse farm-lovely place for flys!)

Hmmm, I didn't know about a frontline spray. I might have to try that next year.

I use Permectrin II It has a 30 day residual and so far has been safe on all our dogs, have had no troubles at all. 8 oz. of consentrate runs you about 6.00 to 9.00 or so, and makes 6.25 gallons of spray applicable treatment. Spray on 2x's a week or so is what we do, Works on flies, fleas, lice, mites, ticks, mosquitoes and spiders. use a pump type weed sprayer and spray bedding areas or kennel's once a week for complete control in the bed or kennel. I love this stuff, good value and excellent results. Can find it at any Ranch type or feed store.
