Strange comments, as the German dogs are by far the best movers in the world. I do not know of this dog or his parents, but they come from top lines: Jello/ Karly on the father line, Hobby on the mother line.
You can find all in GSD search on this site. Use dog name and kennel suffix without vom/von. Zamp is by the way an average middle V dog, but perhaps outstanding by Canadian standards.

Peter,
There is a dog right here in Toronto that looks very much like Zamp. If you interested in seeing him, send me an email at j.rotolo@sympatico.ca so I could reply back with some pictures.

i know the REAL owner personally.i think ZAMP is on loan in canada for a few months. he lives on long island new york.

jdh, I disagree. W. German blooded GSDs are in general not the best moving GSDs in the world. They have some great movers (sidegait) but these are a small minority, few and far between. One of the greatest movers in the world was Muscava's Rocky of the UK and currently X-Sensation Norton (can't remember where from). The majority of the W. German blooded GSDs have faulty transmission through the back and loin due to steep croup and roach back. And too many are now sickle hocked or can't open up at the hocks. There have always been some American blooded GSDs who have extreme sidegait which actually are very correct moving. These dogs suspend, that is, are airborn for an instance once after each rear thrust. Hollamor's Judd was unbelievably correct and extreme from the side as was Axel Poldihaus (germ import) and as now is "We Love Du Chiens Rollins" of Wisconsin (now 8+ years old and a GSD many german judges would like--as a puppy he looked a lot like Ursus Batu). Some of the UK GSDs have been great movers over the years.
