Just another gene/color question. If you had a white shepherd and bred it with a black shepherd, what color would you get? I'm pretty sure it is black/tan, but just want to double check.
Was talking with my dad, and we saw the white shepherd down the street, thats how this popped up. He said "So what you'd get an oreo cookie?" I'm like "nooo..." and went into what little genetics I know, and he was like "... so we wouldn't get an oreo cookie?" LOL

It would depend on the genetics behind the black parent. If the black dog carried a single gene for white, then you might get 50% of the pups being white. If the white parent carried genes for black (hidden by the white genes), you could get solid black pups. Or sable or b/t.
