OK....today is my birthday, I am NOT planning on keeping any of Tessie's pups, I am very happy I now have 10 people on the list......
I think I'd rather her have the pups tomorrow, the day after my birthday, that would be less tempting, if ya know what I mean........
Here is her big belly today, ready to pop!!!

She is ripping up the newspapers in her puppy pen, so today is the day, glad it's no longer my birthday........
First time I bred Theo and Tessie their were 9 all regular coated, second time 4 regular 4 long coats, can't wait to see what we get this time around.
I have personally met all the dogs in the first 3 generations of the pedigree, and have first hand knowledge of their temperaments and overall health, that I like, Mira will be 11 in December and still very healthy, I met her grand-sire Blitzen, and many of his relatives, some were 14 years and older, I am so hoping someday that our breed can live healthy and happy well into their teens, maybe even close to 20 years, wouldn't that be something!
Someone did tell me that one of my pups I had sold their dad back in the early eighties had lived to be seventeen, that was from Mira's mom's side, related to Mira's mom Millie.
I feel bad when I get a call from someone looking for a pup and they tell me their shepherd just passed away at 4 years old from health problems.
I'll let you know how everything turns out, we're about to be very busy for the rest of the day!

It seems from your above post and other posts of yours that good health is of utmost concern to you, which is a very good thing, and a sign of a conscientious breeder.
I'm curious though, what about hip health? I notice on the OFA site neither the dam (Tessie von Ryan) or her mother (Sam) have passing hip scores listed, but there are passing scores listed for various other things like elbows. Did you not submit these dogs hip xrays to OFA? Do you use an alternative resource for certifying hip health like PennHip or the SV via their program through UScA or WDA?
