Ok, still trying to educate myself on all this seiger talk!  I am watching youtube videos...

What is all the screaming, whistling, and noises that are going on? That seems awful and the dogs keep looking around and are clearly distracted.

Do they really let people yell like that? I know at my horse shows it was very quiet with polite applause at end.

I have never seen that type of noise in AKC or UKC shows either.

Can someone please explain the yelling and tell me if it is allowed? You would think the exhibitors would be very upset at this behavior.  Or, is it like a European soccer match where the crowd just goes wild the whole time?

  It's called the SIEGER show.

Hahaha...I get that!  But, it looks like people are actually screaming at the dogs on purpose!!  Some people seem like they are following certain dogs around the ring and yealling!! I am just shocked they would allow that as you would think the people showing the dog would get pissed!!  That doesn't seem fair to the people showing!!

Smiley, that is the dogs owners doing all the yelling etc. They are trying to get their dogs attention to make them look more alert and up on their toes.Believe me ,we have all this in UK at our Regional shows n The British Sieger Show. Its the norm in most countries. Our UK KC.DOES NOT ALLOW THESE ANTICS TO GO ON.Carole S.

Paulie said "  It's called the S I E GER show."

Smiley, you can correct it in the thread title.

Ibahim..oops..sorry! I tried but it wouldn't let me edit the title.

Noddi...how incredibly BIZARRE!!! I am SHOCKED!!!!  My Jaw is still open.......!!!!

Wouldn't you want to see the dog in its natural state? Does that yelling create a false impression of a particular animal?

Wow..still scratching my head as it seems like a really weird and unecessary thing to do (particularily, if it is on purpose as you say)!!

I think that is not odd, people here do it in Horse shows, also when we have shows (contest) for our children at school, we catch their attention and shoot pictures, it is not cheating or something, lol, just my opinion.

It may not be cheating but it IS annoying!! hahaha  I want to scream to them to just shut the heck up so I can watch the dogs in peace!! Geesh!!!

You know, as a complete outsider and newbie to this style of showing...I must confess that I am finding it all very, very odd!!  From the weird arched backs of the dogs; to the screaming of the dog owners; and the wearing of the funky 70's style sweatsuits.......very odd, indeed!!
