Hi everyone! Aside from the scare with Diamond Pet Foods does anyone on here use Diamond Naturals?
Would like to know what experience you had with it!
Thanks

Goose,
have not tried the Natural's yet, But I love diamond products, Very consistent, well formulated, excellent digestibility, nice stool formation, and less of it then anything we've ever fed.
Can't say enough good about Diamond products here.

I use Diamond premium and have never had a problem with any of my dogs on it. I backed off for awhile when there was the scare but my state wasn't involved so I eventually switched back. I have one picky dog and it's all she really doesn't turn her nose up at.

I know this is disputable and probably silly, but a good friend of mine was one who lost 3 of her dogs that ate the tainted Diamond food. It was a very sad thing and the dogs suffered for weeks. Due to that and the experiences she has had with Diamond since, I don't think I will ever be able to feed it to my dog. Odds of it happening again are next to zero I think, it's just my mindset LOL.

Blitzen I understand your objections.
I have fed the normal Diamond and have now been feeding the Naturals for about 4 months. For my dogs it has worked really well. So EchoMeadows do you supplement at all?
Also I have a litter of pups and my plan is to wean them on the Naturals Small Breed puppy for the first couple of weeks (actually about a 20lbs bag worth) and then switch them to the Naturals Large Breed Puppy. What do you think about that idea? Also should I supplement the pups. Right now they do get a bit of goatsmilk mixed in with their food.
Thanks

I feed Diamond Naturals. Started with the chicken and rice formula but found in my area, it is hard to get all the time. We decided to feed the lamb and rice and I purchased many bags. So far my dogs love it. I have a super picky eater and she has picked up weight rather quickly. The picky girl got a little gassy the first week, swtching from chicken to lamb and their stools softened some. Right now they are adjusted and everything is back to normal. I really like the ingredients and my dogs love the taste. It's $10 less a 40lb bag, than the Nutro Natural and the dogs do just as well. I don't think you can beat it!

Goose,
I supplement some, PG bitches, Working group, and puppies, Yes. But not alot really, PG's and pups get bone meal and over the counter vitamins. working group gets vitamins, bone meal and SuperK-9, All dogs get Red Cell. I keep probias on hand in case anyones stool gets a little gooey, seems to put them right back on track. and if anyone uses antibiotics they are given probias with it to keep balance.
Do I need to use these supplements... well probably not, Diamond is very complete kibble. But do all dogs do what our dogs do ? probably not, ie. puppies, working, so on. so for average house pet I would not reccomend. But if your working dog or whelping might want to consult with vet for further supplemental ingredients that they feel is needed and warranted for your specific situation. Hope that Helps, I know that was a big answer for a little question. sorry.

After using the other "Premium" dog foods out there and with six dogs, I switched to Diamond's line of dog food about 3 years ago. I use the Naturals and Premium Edge line.
As with anything else do your research, compare ingredients and you will find that Diamond's formulas and ingredients are unbeatable when it comes to value and results. I have turned many people on to Diamond and with no regrets.
I buy this product direct from the distrubutor so I do save a lot as compared to buying retail. The true value in Diamond is that the money you are spending goes into their products, not marketing. When is the last time you saw Diamond run a full page ad in a magazine or better yet prime time television?

EchoMeadows,
Where are you located? My distrubutor is in Nebraska and he only requires me to buy a combinded 20 bags of any product line at a time to qualify for my wholesale pricing. I will ask him for a distributor in your area if he can not service you.
