yes, I feed the dogs I am working/competing with. Right now, one adult male. Canned green tripe "Tripette" to be specific - much easier to deal with than raw tripe, and the dogs like it better IMO. He gets 1/2 can every night mixed in his kibble. I noticed an increase in body "mass" or muscle, he looked bigger, stronger, heavier but still maintained his leanness - he is not overweight but gained @ 3 lbs, I guess in muscle. His coat looks nice too, though it's always looked pretty good on th TOTW food I feed.

Tripett- no "e", if you're looking for the canned stuff.
I have used that when I can't get the real stuff- nothing compares to fresh green tripe. Dogs will eat the canned stuff, but they go berserk for the real stuff. I cut it in chunks or strips and feed it outside. If I'm really lazy, I'll freeze it all in a tub and let them chew on it, taking turns. LOL
Teeth turn whiter almost immediately...big difference in just a week or so in a dog who had nasty teeth (I don't notice as much w/my own, whose teeth are always clean, but if I am switching over a senior or strictly kibble-fed dog, the transformation is really fast and obvious.) I have also noticed density in puppies; they are little balls of pure muscle and they weigh a whole lot more than they look like they weigh. I fed my last litter a ton of it and they were absolutely some of the most impressive-looking puppies I have had/seen to date. I like it for pups because of its nearly perfect calcium:phosphorus ratio.

Pharaoh and Mariah just LOVE tripe.
I buy it frozen in 1 or 2 pound chubbs http://greentripe.com
I also buy prepared raw that includes tripe from http://www.excelk9diet.com/menu.htm
It 's nice having it arrive frozen hard in a box on my front porch.

I can't speak to changes in dogs but I have always fed tripe. Like Pharoah, I get mine from http://greentripe.com . I don't have anyone near me that butchers, so fresh oranic grass fed is not an option. I like the product from greentripe.com because it's 100% organic, grass fed beef tripe, and it comes frozen. I feed tripe, organ meat, salmon oil & vit E every morning and whole bones at night. I prefer raw to canned tripe, which is heated because of the canning process.

YES! I feedraw, previously frozen tripe and switch it with raw, previously frozen raw fish just because I like diversity in dog food. Fed tripe and other raw foods to my dogs the last 30 years. Just wouldn't eat tripe myself, I can't stand the smell of cooked tripe.

I used to go to the local abbatoir once a week and bring home fresh cow bags, so fresh they were still warm. Really tough to cut up, hubby used to have to do them for me with a cleaver (I'm not trusted with anything that sharp, having chopped the top off the same finger twice!) but he really can't stand the smell!
Can't get them anymore and the frozen is Ok but not like straight from the cow. Even though I live in the largest tripe dressing area in the UK - I won't buy bleached for human consumption mainly because the dogs never get to see it, I love it!

Sitasmom: You have mentioned many times that feeding raw gives your dogs the runs. This is a personal problem for you and obviously not the usual for the rest of us, or we wouldn't feed raw.
My dogs eat tripe every day, and have NEVER experienced the runs or bad breath from eating any raw food, including tripe.
