DutchMali

I was wondering if someone could give me some insight or opinion..basically i run my dog with me on my bike its a good workout and its a good way for my dog to get the exercise he requires when im not working him..hes a 10 month old mali..i was just worried that he maybe still too young even though i dont tire him out completely (i wont do that until he's 2) im just worried that since he's so young it might be to much pressure or strain for him to be running long stretches on concrete..im hoping it doesn't affect him in the future like hip or joint problems..ive been doing it everyday this week so just looking for some feedback or advice..thanks ya'll

Yeah the Dude is right, a run is a bit much for a puppy if you keep him to a trot that is fine but not for long periods of time and not everyday of the week. Dogs also need time to rest and recuperate after exercise just as we do. If you continue you could damage his hips our elbows remember he will not be fully developed until 2 bone structure stops growing around 15 months but can continue until 2. If you want to build extreme muscle tone swimming is the way.
