My 22 month GSD plays pretty rough with our other big shepherd mix. They constantly are chasing each otehr around our deck. The GSD is now semi limping. She really limps after getting up from laying down. She can still run and jump. I don't see or feel any abnormalties in her left leg. I do have her isolated for now and am going to give it a couple of days, and if it's still teh same I will take her to the vet. . I'm no vet, but I think you just may be bruised and sore. Opinions would be appreciated.

has she ever been x-rayed?......mine was amazing at running jumping and would limp once in a while...and would grunt when she got up in the mornings...at the end..had to have FHO surgery...i hope that is not the case for you...but i would recommend X-ray just to find out for sure..

What happened to the dogs leg?  I was curious because Ryder was limping for a couple of days after my husband stepped on his paw during a walk.  When I took him to the Vet she said it was panosteitis.  He took some anti-inflammatory meds for a few days and it went away and never came back.  That was over a month ago.  She said it had nothing to do with my husband stepping on his paw.  I was wondering about it because the dog didn't yelp or anything when he stepped on him, even though I did. (lol)  Ryder was going on 6 months old at the time and she said it is quite common in these puppies.  I know your dog is a bit older but I was wondering what ever happened since your post is from August.
