Can someone please explain the differences of IPO and Schutzhund? I have a friend of mine that has a mal and no matter what you say (even if you have proof) you are always wrong when talking about the breed. So, he plans to start doing IPO and says that IPO will be over Schutzhund and claims that there is a "certified trainer" for IPO coming to teach him so he can be certified. In other words I think he's full of it. But I just would like to know the differences of the two. I know they're very similar but I just haven't been doing this long enough to know. Thanks for any info!

They are the same,there used to be some differences a few years ago but not any more.I think the only difference is that in C part in SchH you need to get at least 80 points if you want to do SchH 2 later. You will pass SchH 1 even with 70 points in protection but if you wanna go to SchH 2 you need 80 points.
