I have been trying to take care of my dog's problem of sheeding his coat. It's not even the shedding season anymore but I still get loads of hair from him around my house. I used a good shampoo & a hair loss protection lotion recently & am still in the process of the treatment. I have also been advised by my doc for getting him injected with some medicine.
Can anyone put some light on this? I am really worried about my dog's hair as he's had a beautiful hair coat & really shiny.

Prasac, a healthy GSD will shed constantly. They typically will blow their coat twice per year, but the shedding never really stops. Even with the best diet for that individual dog, the shedding is inevitable.
There are some things on the market for a reduction of this shedding, but I have never used them. You can find them at typical dog supply websites, i.e. Foster & Smith, etc. and it appears that you are already using something like this.
Every dog and bitch, every day, a coat rake, a brush, and a well-used broom. It's unbelievable and amazing that there is any coat present at all. You mention the "loads" of hair. I typially compare the wads of hair to the tumbleweeds that I have seen in our deserts. A bit of humour while I am sweeping.

I have tried every top diet, supplement, salmon oil etc and I am convinced as Bob-0 says shedding in GSD is a year round-full time job. Brushing
daily does help.
My husband actually got me a magnet that says:
"In this house dog hair is a condiment"

I may add that it helps to memorize some old Marty Robbins songs to hum while corralling the tumbleweeds.

Hair loss will always be a problem if you own a GSD. its a fact of life. whats really hard to deal with is if you're the only one in your home that loves dogs, then the fight is on about dog hair everywhere. No matter how much you clean there will always be hair. My boy stays inside with me 24/7 we work and play together.from the job to the show ring. he has never seen the inside of a kennel. And as i've been told a sable GSD will shed more than any shepherd. True or not i'm not sure but he sure sheds a lot. In the last few months i've started using Fish oil gel caps with amega 3 and 6 and changed to a much better food with Lamb and rice and i've noticed he's put on a really nice full coat. His coat looks better now than it ever has. Not sure if the change is whats helping or not but i've noticed a change in the hair i sweep up everyday.

That's why they're known as German Shedders.

thats what the prob is that I am the only one is more close to my dog. Thought everybody will take care of his food needs & stuff like that, but when his hair fall (rightly compared to 'tumbleweeds' in the desert), everybody makes a face.
anyways, I guess I will have to keep my dog behind the fence very soon instead of him roaming around the house all the time.
Moreover, just wanted to clarify what kind of injections are there in the market which might help.

myself i would not inject my dog with anything vet says will help shedding. just dont belive anything like this will help. all dogs shed, just some more than others...

Prasac,
Others who have posted here are absolutely correct. If you are providing your dog with a good quality food, there is not a lot to be done about shedding. German Shepherds shed constantly. Do not give your dog frequent baths as that can make it all worse. Do not give your dog injections. You may put a teaspoon full of bacon or other meat grease in his food once in a while to help keep his coat shiny and provide oil, but buying fancy and costly supplements is not worth it. People who do not understand that German Shepherds shed should get a different breed, or like me, have to pick the fur up multiiple times a day. I have 25 GSDs here and when they are shedding as they are now, it is a full time job just picking up the hair. Brushing can help, but eventually, they will loose the hair they are going to shed, so I just deal with the loose fur. I believe you have said in a former post that you feed Royal Canin. Assuming that it is the same formulation as in Europe and the U. S. it is an excellent food and should be all you need.
