I think we should propose a new olympic event be added.  Take a kitchen floor completely trash it give each competitor a broom and dustpan, then turn loose 3 9wk old GSD pups and see who can get the floor spotless the fastest. :)

LOL... Another could be mopping, and then there's the dusting....gotta love puppies with drive!

And all must be performed barefoot while wearing shorts. LOL I don't think I would know what to do with a "nice" pup.

LOL suzie's zoo! That has been the greatest part of the DB for me.  You tell someone who has "regular" dogs about yours and they look at you like you are crazy!! My Tausha who is now 4 ripped the front rubber bumper off of my vacuum when she was 12 wks old.  I had stopped moving to pick something off the floor vacuum still running (beater brush and all) and I turn around when she stopped barking she had picked the vacuum up off the floor and was having a ball.  I was laughing to hard to say anything at first.  I giggle every time I take the vacuum out!!

Donner I just wanted you to know when I read that first post I spit sweet tea all over my screen.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Too funny.  Vacuum cleaners?  When I break mine out my guys get the zoomies and bark bark bark.  I used to have a push mower and when my old dog was young she would grab it and drag it across the back 40!!!!!!!!  Now when they see me grabbing the keys for my rider they bark bark bark and jump around...............gotta love em................

Mine think the vacuum is a tremendous game. They do the play pounce, & bark, bark, bark! Tails a-wagging, teeth showing, they bounce around in front of the vacuum spreading hair for me to vacuum up! If I stop for a minute, they pounce on the vacuum, give it a few 'play' bites, then plop down panting & totally pleased with themselves, toothy smiles from ear to ear. They love it, & I enjoy the game, too. However, I think calling it cleaning is kind of a stretch! jackie harris

I have wooden and tiled floors so now only use my vacuum to go around the edges of the flooring maybe once a month. I also use it in place of grooming the dogs. They love it and it's so muh more effective than trying to brush/comb them etc and far cheaper than getting them doneproeprly. This wa I get very little fur and tufties on the floor!

When Zane was a young pup, if I tried to mop the kitchen floor he'd attach himself to it and sit/lean against the pole until I'd finished. It would look as though I was using him as the mop!

LOL Stumpy... I also vacuum mine, especially durring molting season!  Not long after I posted this and Sistasmom said mopping I went in to mop the puppy room, I had never even attempted mopping with a pup out.  I have one pup left Ace who has decided he is mom's dog and doesn't want to go anywhere.  Well he has learned he can squeeze through the puppy gate upstairs if mom is downstairs, I was in the middle of mopping and he tore around the corner and attacked the mop.  Now he knows the aus very well, it is the only command my 20 month old daughter gives him since he likes to take her toys, well he wasn't ausing the mop so I mopped the entire floor with him attatched to the strings of the mop! I was laughing hysterically it was like puppy hocky!! Gotta love these guys with drive, my son's cat doesn't care for them much.  Yesterday Ace was walking past the dinning room table and the cat's tail was hanging down I saw the head hook I probably should have said something but was laughing instead as he ripped the cat off the table by the tail and drug her around the kitchen floor.  I did stop it but took a minute bc well if you are laughing he just doesn't really think you are serious! LOL

I was just sitting here chuckling to myself about mopping the floor with GSDs. You know you always hear of lhasas and shih tzus being dust mops. Now we got shepherds being string mops!!!!  Someone should take a video and send it in funniest videos.....................I never mopped the floor with one but I have swept plenty of things with one!!!!
