Eagle and Innova (California Natural) are excellent foods, meet AAFCO standards and much more. But for palatability look into Merrick's line. The kibble is one of the few EVER that my dogs will eat out of my hand, meets AAFCO standards, uses organic chicken and canola oil, no bad preservatives, etc. Easily available on line. Only company line, not an "add-on" for yuppie-puppies by the big companies. The canned food varieties are a hoot! Check them out.

Natural Balance~ Expensive but they won't turn up their noses. Especialy the raw frozen, you heat it up and mix in the kibble. I had to feed this to my bitch when she first arrived pregnant. I had to feed her whatever she would eat. Other favorites, less expensive are Nutro Naturals, Sensible Choice, and Diamond.

National Competition X-tra is the best food I have found by far. Small soft pellets that have no air in the food and it is not overcooked. Mushers here in Alaska know the quality of this food. I have fed it since the early 90's with no bad results. It is not available everywhere but if it is where you are located you should try a couple bags. http://www.nationaldogfood.com/www/compxtra.html
