I have a wonderful 3 1/2 yr old female pb shepherd..i was wondering if 4yrs old might be too old for her first litter..

Most times it is best if a female has her fisrt litter by 4 eyars old, but there are some that are bred for the first time even older with no problem. Generally, fertility and ability to deliver naturally are better if the female is younger, but 4 years old is not an automatic "no". As with any breeding, you need to have enough money on hand in case she does need a c-section, and the cost for raising and advertizing the liter for sale. if you figure the $ you make, vs the hours of work, most breeders make abotu 4 1 per hour, so be sure you are breeding a good 'breed wothry' dog, and are ready for the work involved.

And that is IF everything goes well, you could even end up a few thousand in the RED if it doesn't.
