I have a 9 year old female that was originally trained with German commands. She is from good German bloodline, but by the time we got her at 2 years old the breader never kept up the German and now she is total english.

Just wondering if anyone has a list of commands in German so I can maybe bring back some of her original training.

Thanks

Platz - down
Nein/fooey! - No!
Sitz - sits
Bring - Retrieve

Some people use the command bleib (stay) but I don't. When I tell my dog to down... she/he must stay down at all times. Same with sitting.

Voraus! - Go out! (Go to the blinds)
Such - tracking command
Hier- Come or here
Fass/Packen! - attack!
Gib Laut! - Speak!
Aus! - Let go! Drop it!

also you have to remember in germany letters sound different than in the us

per say Sitz would be eazyer for you to think of it as Zitz  Hier would be more like Hiiier as it is extenuated Such would be Zook in spelling relly it took my family a wile to get their mind around it

also i only use Bleib for the stand if i dont want her to sitz or plotz i just say bleib for her to stand there

Here's a handy table of commands from the Fundy Schutzhund Club:

laura271, It seems like that site stole the list of commands off of http://www.uwsp.edu/psych/dog/languag1.htm

There's also a place I believe it's called Dr P's that not only has the words but also the audio to pronounce the words correctly.
