There is a code for selling dogs.

Not got time for him = trashing the house
Garden is too small = trashing the garden
Needs more attention= keeps pinching the kids toys
He needs a garden = too lazy to take him for walks
The house is too small = easier to sell the dog than clear the clutter up
I'm moving abroad = you can't back him
He needs to work = likes to use his mouth
I'm pregnant = no longer need a substitute child
I can't walk him = nails like a cross between Edward Scissorhands and Freddie Kruger
Proven stud = I got a puppy instead of a fee and it is so cute I'm keeping it instead of him
Personal protection dog = teeth on a lead
Needs strong handler = bites the hand that feeds him
Dominant with other dogs = attacks everything with fur
Eager to investigate = no recall
Sensitive = nervous wreck
Protective = nervous aggressive
Strong willed = never taught any manners
High Drive = hyperactive
Very loyal = acute separation anxiety
Cute mannerisms = tail chaser
Very friendly = oversexed
Tons of prey drive = killed the neighbours cats
Has papers = two crumpled photocopies of his "parents" pedigrees
Outstanding pedigree = so the breeder said
Rare = non standard coat or colour
Good watchdog = never shuts up
Stocky build = fat enough to use as a coffee table

Also:

(breaks my heart every time I see this in a kijiji ad)

Needs too much love =  too lazy to take him/her for walks or acute separation anxiety

FUNNY HOW I HAVE READ MANY OF THESE ''CODES'' IN ADDS BY REPUTABLE BREEDERS SELLING GSD'S!

Totally agree!

This was amusing to read, but sad because of the truth behind it.

Have also seen; "Needs an experienced home" = Dog as become similar to a loose cannon, does what it wants (which is not what the Owner wants) because no-one has taken the time and commitment to train!

Then there is

"insert well known name" 's personal dog = best morgage your house if you want to buy this one
Full back up = ring me with a problem so I can tell you it is your fault
Responds to English Commands = as long as you can do the right accent
Manstopper = No out

I like the long name Martinusta, you are so right, I'd not noticed that one before.
