A Navy Seal or killing Osama is worth far less than my dog to me. I am not ashamed to say.

I love my dog and will never allow her to be exposed to such danger.

Thus the very sad state this nation is currently in

If my dog were killed I will cry for ten days and not able to function.

If a Navy Seal dies I would feel sad for a few minutes or Osama is never heard from again I will not think about him.

Not true for 99.9% of Americans?

What is so sad about it? A country will function well with less nationalistic fervor and with more rationality.

I hate to get political in this forum, but the US foreign policy in the ME is a total mess. The root cause of our problem is championing for Israeli statehood in 1947 and later aiding Israel.

It is not a matter of democracy, it is a matter of expectation of reaction from over one billion of humanity. The world does not spin on democracy; it has history and reality that aspire people to behave in a certain way. The charge on a government is to do what is best for its people, not to champion an ideal irrespective of practical usefulness to its people. The ratio of different peoples who aspire to act and their impact on us should have been paramount.  Enough said. Won't discuss it here.

I think a dog's life is worth less than a human life.

But the life of MY dog is worth more than the life of a human being I don't know, Navy Seal or not.

If my dog has what it takes to be a war dog, will I send her to war? No, No, No.

You are entitled to your opinion as are other people.

To even think such things is absolutely selfish.  You may need someone else to sacrifice you your well being.  You are an old lonely man that will die miserably by himself.

Lots of  ignorant comments today. Very sad.

Thankfully my husband and many people like him offer up their lives for this country, no thank yous or payback is needed for him, he does it because he loves his country. That same love of country is displayed by police officers, firefighters, coast guard, etc... pretty sure it ain't the pay or the respect

I am looking at my dog and hug it just about every day.

Now I see on TV and hear about some Navy Seals who are also Americans.

Which would a normal human being care more, a dog you hug just about every day or an American in the military you hear about?
