called, left message...no return call as of now....wonder if its BS...dogs look like seniors to me and about 30-40 pounds overweight....would hate to see them in a shelter...

Let me know what you find out. The phone number comes up unpublished - Huntersville, NC. I am about 30 minutes from Huntersville and 45 minutes from Denver. I do not have a lot of room but could take in at least a couple short term if need be.

got call back on Saturday..guy name Wayne..sounded very nice, older gentleman,  these are his wife (?) dogs...they have 6 GSD, wife is keeping one others are being given away, they had plans to breed them back when they bought them but did not, all dogs are altered, I asked about black male...was told he is 130 pounds and 7 years old (all dogs same age)...was contemplating on taking him...but my husband (voice of reason for me when it comes to dogs) talked me out of it due to dog being WAY too overweight and at that age must have health issues with hips and joins, etc....it would have not been such a big deal, I would have had him on diet and daily exercise BUT we can't do more health issues and bills, I already have one that needs hip surgery and that is coming up in next 3 weeks than physical therapy..so financially it makes sense to take care of one dog at a time....so I called back on Sunday and apologized, Wayne said he had about 20 people interested in his dogs, so he is not lacking potential adoptees..

7 year old and 130 pound.....that dog would have a hard time walking more than a block, and if he needs surgery or pain meds...I just can't do it.....they are not going to dump them in a shelter so i figured i would pass....
