I get it now,

After watching this video, I understand why the "little hamster trainer duderina" and others have an issue with our Professionally Trained Personal Protection Dog videos.

People think that this is a Protection Dog? Or Protection Dog Training?
If you can spend time on this forum, Please spend time researching Professional Trainers!

There are good trainers, take the time to research and find one in your area!!!!

The "Trainer" in this video is not one I would recommend.

The real scary part is that people will look at this video and think that this poor dog is being trained in personal protection. And some person who failed to do their research will pay a lot of money for a dog that they were led to believe will protect them or their family.

I wonder if this dog has had OFA, inoculations, socialization, and all of the other ground work that no one takes in to consideration when purchasing a dog?

Let alone, Professional Protection Training!

Great Video, In your wildest dreams!

Did you not see the fear in that dog? Is this a Joke?

Watch the video, the dog tried to run, several times and had no where to go and no other choice than to try and fight!

Video Title "Civil work" - what is your defintion of Civil work?

Do you work dogs?  Do you own a dog?

I'm not being  argumentitive, you posted the video and asked the question, I'm just asking.

This is Civil work;

Kim, you are always saying how you are not a trainer. So how would you know? On one hand you make statements about your inexperience and lack of knowledge and then you state comments like you have here in which you clearly believe you know what you are talking about? So which is it?

I'm not going to comment on the video except that the dog doesn't look half bad.....yet!

I think there people out there who could have done a much better job than the people in the first vid.  That is a fact.

The canzheh vid was good.

Police k9, Schutzhund and Persoanl protection should all be trained the same up to the point of specialized training.  You should at least be able to turn the dog on and off.

There are poorly trained dogs, very well trained dogs and all shades in between in all thre of these areas.

People forget that schutzhund (protection dog) is the evaluation of the dog (protection dog).....it should be able to do the thngs and have the obedience, nerve and confidence the canczech dog has.

Sport guy - I'm not a Trainer, but I can recognize one when I see their work, and one who is not.

I watched this video over and over because something just didn't look right.  I noticed that the decoy was coaxing the dog and inviting the dog to come in as if he wanted to pet the dog.  The dog starts to look confused as to what his intentions are.  Once the dog starts to trust the decoy then he comes at him with the stick.

O boy...  My biggest problem with the video was the lack of clear instruction for the dog.  I mean what on earth were they trying to do?  The dog reacted fearfully on occassion, tried to do the right thing. ( even though there was no way he could ever know what that was. )  Dog training MUST be black and white.  I'll have to remember to gain a dogs trust then smack him on the bum with a stick... that will make me a good reliable dog.
Very unfortunate for that dog who was giving the best he knew how.

Yep thats it.....If you want to do protection training with your dog you have to pretend like your going to be friends and thene Beat the shit out of it with a stick.....blush

This will surely make him the best protection dog in the world...LOL
