Not to much quality on show yesterday at crufts I thought, for saying that this is what joe public will see as the best of the best of the breed

It looks like there coming from Sweden though,I must say I liked Tronderjyckens Imre, and his sire Mischlands solo, and the bitch Tronderjyckens Harley,

It was a very mixed bunch, but credit to all the principle winners, Elmo & Chilli both looked excellent.

I too was pleased to see the Swedish dogs there and it was good that they did well

We attended yesterday an I met with a friend from down south who is getting their first shepherd puppy in the next few weeks. He has never owned a shepherd before but  now the kids are older he has more time to devote to one.
We trotted off to the BAGSD stand had a chat and found out where his local club is.Just had a quick look at the website and it seems all the members have either white shepherds or other *rare colours*
This so0ciety is supposedly promoting a breed
Whilst wishing to see a shepherd get bis tomorrow i can see lots of people going for more of the *Pretty colours* hope this doesnt undo the progress made over the past year or so.

Don't know which show you were at but I thought the breed was very well represented considering there was an entry of mixed type.  No extremes of either persuasion and no screaming and lairy behaviour (from either dogs or owners lol).  I thought it did the breed a great deal of good at a time when we are under the spotlight.

You say well represented, Is that in numbers or behaviour,
I'm sure I was Crufts, but who knows your mind plays tricks with you when your getting old, Unfortunately I could not find the stall that sold the rose tinted glasses

Seenthelight.....I attend a BAGSD club with a real mixture of colors/types - they are all GSD's - what would you suggest BAGSD do - that they specify colour/type for membership? Hmmm....not sure they would have so many members. Doesn't mean it is not a good training club.

I mean well represented in breed type and to say otherwise is an insult to all the owners and their dogs that had qualified and were present.  I was proud to be an owner of a dog entered and well placed and think the public would have had the best impression for a long time of GSD's at Crufts.

You say well represented in breed type, but previously stated that there was an entry of mixed type, surely there is only one type that meets the breed standard,
