A Tribute to ‘Buffy’
(aka ‘Carlithos Affair’)
Sired By a King,
with nerves of steel.
Nursed by a Queen,
who’s grace so surreal.
A gift was born,
that warm summer’s day,
and far too soon, was taken away.
Best friend in the morning, as we awake,
our minder, our shadow,
companion, soul mate.
A call from above,
we’ve been left with a void.
As you lay by the King,
your spirit runs free.
I’ve hung up your collar,
You’ve taken your toy,
Oh Buffy, you gave us
so much joy
At the Golden Gate,
please wait for me.
And maybe some day
together we’ll be.
Until such a day,
fond memories we’ll share,
of our loyal companion
‘Carlithos Affair’.

Thank you all for such kind words. Over many years I have lost some good companions, but this was truely the biggest loss. I am fortunate enough to have her outstanding son, so through him, she is still with me..............
