Does any one have experience with Von Der Bosen Nachbarschaft and Stadtfeld lines in terms of what age they mature and develop defense drives?

Do you mean in combination or singularly?

I have a bitch w/both lines together. I can't answer your question definitively (really, no one can) but I would say that as a whole, she has changed more than expected between 2 and 3. I imported her right when she turned 2, and I have to say that she's more mature in every way now than she was then...though as she was already titled and I wasn't there for the early work, I can't answer your specific question regarding defense.

This is the bitch I'm talking about.

Thanks for the info.  I was referring to the combo.  I was just curious about my male.  He is 14 months old. He shows some  definate signs of defense drive now.  He is in training to be a police k9.  Here is the dog that I am talking about:  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/652196.html

He has very similar lines to you bitch.  She looks beautiful !!!

I can see the PSD potential there; my bitch's sire was at a PSD breeding/training facility, and his littermate still is. They have sired many PSDs. I see the same potential in her offspring; they are a bit much for the average home, but if someone knows what to do with them, they're outstanding. She's a very strong producer; her pups are all soooo much like her. One of them certified at only a year old; she has a very experienced handler though...that's young for any dog.

I have to say from what I've seen, I do like the combination of lines as well.  I love the structure that Stadtfeld brings to the table; they are as good looking as they are working...IMO.

Nice boy. ;-)

I have one of the offsprings from Jennis bitch sired by Ron vom Ludwigseck. He showed defense very early on coupled with also high prey. The combination of it made him slower to mature in handler "Fuehrigkeit" (gosh, whats the english word for it?) A dog not to be taken lightly. I currently have a litter of him on the ground paired with a more even tempered bitch. I plan on holding a girl back to evaluate the drives possible with that combination.

I am sure your boy will be able to do the job. Etzel and Hera have been proven as a good combination. I am a bit surprised to see such a defined saddle on Neko.

I have really been impressed with Max. He seems very developed in the bite work that I have done with him. He seems like he will be a very serious boy.  He is a natural tracker and doing well on narcotics.

Neko's saddle is deceiving.  He is actually a sable.  when you pull back the black the hair is actually half red and half black.

I have a dog that goes back to some Stadtfeld stuff on the bottom side. I can say that I don;t think he really matured till he was almost 3 years old. I saw a HUGE chaneg from 2-3.

This is the Stadtfeld dog he goes back to....This is his great grandpa.....
