Hi Everyone,
I am doing a bit of research but can't seem to find any info on drives and temperament, whether they have/had any health issues, or what they pass on to their progeny.
Can you help me?
Here are the boys:

V Ron vom Bodelschwinger
G Lewis von Malatesta
Troll von der Bosen Nachbarschaft - (Sire of Yoshy von der Dollenwiese)
V Lasco vom Westfalensprob
V Ajax vom Rohnsaler

Thanks for your input.
C

PS. I did a database search on their names but did not find any really useful info. Is there another site(s) that might have this type of information?

I have a picture, stud advertisement actually in an old issue of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America magazine that I could scan in and share on Lewis, but that's all the help I can be.  Let me know if you want it though and I'll be happy to share!

Using an internet search engine will often turn up information about the accomplishments and titles of a given dog. However, what you OP are asking for is not information easily found in writing. Most of the stuff written here on PDB is hearsay and passed down from one person to another. Often those people don't have a clue.As well, some of these dogs have been dead a long time.  So you have to hope that someday you can find and be mentored by someone who knew these dogs, or their progeny well. Those people who knew the dogs are also passing us by, just like the dwindling number of men and women who fought in WW II are passing us by now, and we are loosing so much of their experiences with their passing.

Otherwise, the old adage of garbage in, garbage out (GIGO) applies. Better to simply ask people who have
pups from individual litters about how a given pup is doing. But remember, there is a maturation process, and a pup will change a lot over time. And observations made by unskilled people are not worth very much either....so you have to look hard at the individual providing the information.

Good luck.

Sitasmom,
Thanks for the info. Good Stuff.

Lillysj,
If you can get a good scanned in picture that would be great. Thanks.

Hodie,
Thanks for your reply.
I realize that a lot of information found on forums could be hearsay. However, in posting my questions I was hoping that the people on this forum, who have been with the breed long enough to have perhaps seen some of the dogs work, or have had some of their progeny, or could recommend internet sites that have verifiable information/statistics, would reply. I know they are out there.

My post could be educational for those of us, who are not fortunate enough to have a personal mentor as of yet, if the "old timers" want to share some of their vast experiences and knowledge.

clc,

Hopefully some who really are qualified will come forward. A lot of such people left long ago. Just be careful about what you take as gospel.

Since no one has come forward with any info on these sires Here's what I have found thus far. A very nice description of Lewis von Malatesta.
Here's the web site: www.mistyridge.com/Hall-of-Fame.html

Ajax has been discussed often here on both message boards.  Just search the topics.

 clc29,

Sorry for the delay...here is the ad scanned from the November/December 1997 Issue of Schutzhund USA Magazine.  Hope it helps in your search.
